  • Miss Chris a great deal, saw him up close when he rode at Saratoga. Tragic loss.

  • I grew up in SC and I was lucky to know Chris. He was a wonderful, sweet, fun, caring and loving person. I always tried to watch his races. Sadly, the day he died was my birthday so I think of him then and when ever I hear anything about horses, horse races and espically the Kentucy Derby. He was the best JOCKEY! He is greatly missed.

  • Wonderful choice of music and some great photos. He lives on in our horses and memories.

  • YOU ARE MISSED CHAMP

  • What a great tribute. One of the greatest jockeys of all time.

  • My Grandfather introduced me to horse racing, and Chris Antley was my favorite jockey as a child and and adult. Kills me he is gone, but he left me with much appreciation for the sport and his spirit lives on, I am sure of it.

  • i cry when i see this :'(. he was my uncle

  • @layton056....are you serious? sorry.....he was great

  • @layton056 was he really?

  • This is a tragic loss for the sport of Kings and I know that Chris is riding up in Heaven where he wins the Triple Crown daily! The story of Chris has all the parts in the making of a great movie!

  • I grew up on the race track and Chris was one of my very best friends, and the first person I called if I needed to talk, get advise from, or lend a hand. He was the big brother I never had. I had the great honor to ride races with him on a few occasions. To this day Im still devastated at his loss.

    RIP Big Brother

  • Beautiful. Thanks for including Fred Stone's great picture of Chris holding Charismatic. It seems to sum up his love for the horses he rode.

  • A beautiful tribute...my very favorite jockey and among my greatest inspirations...not just talented -- divinely talented...was honored to meet him once in the late 80's at Saratoga...so kind, humble, and generous of spirit...were it not for his mental illness, he'd have shattered every riding record in the books...his story is one of the most moving in modern sports
