  • it's not remake it's another story it's like the third addition

  • then wat was the second addition?

  • though the looking glass

  • what certificate is this in the uk

  • So this is in some ways similar to the American Mcgee's Alice story? it deffinitely seems to be :D

  • that is LSD for ya...

  • that was great it got me updated cus i thought it was the same story just a ree make but they have altered it and added new characters and scenes how great i will be saving my pocket money till then!!!!

  • omg all the actors are so good! can't wait to see it!

  • 4 members of the cast play on 1 or more Harry Potter movies too!

Helena Bonham Carter is Bellatrix Lestrange

    Alan Rickman is Severus Snape

Timothy Spall is Peter ''Wormtail'' Pettigrow

and Frances de la Tour is Olympe Maxime!

  • If anyone has Netflix you can watch a film called "Phoebe in Wonderland". I don't need to say much about it other than I do reccomend it. (kid with tourettes who lives in her head most the time plays alice amongst many other things in the well-shot and visually interesting film)

  • Tim Burton is an unparalleled genius, I'm so stoked for this movie.

  • Who will be Alice?

  • anybody else think that anne hathaway looks like a man in drag in that picture? >.>

  • yes. lol

  • I think she is beautiful.

  • I have been waiting for a alic in wonderland by tim burton for years ...and finnaly I am gonna be able to see it : )

  • ι'м ѕσ єχ¢ιтє∂ ! ¢αη'т ωαιт тσ ѕєє тнιѕ ƒιℓм ^^

  • Can't wait

  • I cant waaaiit!

  • i already marked my calender! :3

  • yay!

  • is the hookha catapillar still in it?

  • I heard that in the PC game Alice, the Cheshire Cat was more like Hannibal Lecter. That sounds like such an awesome idea (I've never played the game).

  • do You mean the game where Alice is in a sanatarium because she went crazy cause her parent died and then she goes back to wonderland only to find that they all want ehr help because the queen is evil? That game is the creepy side of alice in wonderland I LOVE IT

  • Yeah that's the one! I think it's called American Mcgee's Alice. I don't know if they've ever written a twisted demented version of Alice in Wonderland, but they need to.

  • what system is this? it sounds VAGUELY familiar. PLEASE TELL ME THE DETAILS!

  • systym oh it's actually a old game and it's on the computer. The game takes place in wonderland but it's all evil and alice must kill card dudes and a bunch of evil things and help the dwarves and stuff defeat the queen of hearts. The cheshire cat is a creepy scrawny cat that help her along the way...You get various weapons like the card shooter and the knife

  • I love that game so much!! It's McGee's Alice in Wonderland!

  • haha yeah I know it's uber amazing :)

  • :D yeah!!!

  • OhMyHelena I can't wait! ^^ Tim+Helena+Johnny

    = Charlie and the Chocolate Factory;

    = Corpse Bride;

    = Sweeney Todd;

    = CRAZINESS XD

    <3

  • when it says rises and ralls does that mean she growns and shrisnks?

  • I'm pretty sure that's what it means.

  • omg...my skool is doing the alice in wonderland play and im the queen of hearts...every1 in the play( in cluding me) is now obsessed with alice in wondrland and throughthe looking glas..lol

  • i am so frigin jealous of you! A couple of friends and myself are trying to convince our drama teacher to do alice in wonderland, so we're designing the costumes, if we do get to do it I wanna go for the queen of hearts

  • I'm the WALRUS.

    GOO GOO GA JOOB.

  • disny is involbed which that means they are going to spoiled the movie for us teens and make another kid movies the will never touch McGees's Alice if thet were the case

Neither will burton even if he wants to,Disney already fired him once for diobeing disney style and he know we are talking about millions of dollars ,burton will not make that mistake again

  • What movie did Burton get fired from?

  • from the movie frankenweenie (i dont know if i spell it corectly) thendisney fired him for having "non appropiate content" and then he went to warner bros

  • O come on , you know you all dumped people thik just because this movie is directed by buston is gonna be his style?no! disney is never gonna touch American McGee's Alice many kids are going to see thet movie and the moms of too spoiled children are going to complain and demand burton.

And read some history you guys disney already fired burton and by making these film we are talking abuot millions of dollars burtons is not making that mistake again you dumis assholes.

  • There are no small parts. Edward Norton once played a role where he was hidden behind a mask and had little to no speaking lines (his character had leprosy). HE, along with Depp, is one of the greatest actors our generation. I'm sure the Mad Hatter appealed to Depp because of the challenge and the possibility to make it great!

  • i have a feeling that this film might also have somthing to do with the looking glass wars by Frank Beddor, Which is a very good book.

  • btw if you wanted to know the red queen is from through the looking glass not wonderland and she's not the same person as the queen of hearts if burton doesn't know that then he's got to read the books again... and which is she in wonderland or the looking glass house?

  • almost every movie based on carroll's books is a combination of alice's adventures in wonderland and through the looking glass, and what alice found there... even disney's animated version... i'm pretty sure putting a plot together requires reading the book itself... i didn't see anything insinuating that he is protraying the red queen as the queen of hearts anyway... i have no idea where you're getting this in the first place

  • The book is only 186 glorious pages. Too bad you are not one of my 100-odd (literal and figurative) students who will read it online after Winter Break and write literary analyses before the newest film version hits the silver screens. History will judge whether 2009 or 1942 (or was it '32?) brings the literature to the screen most aptly. Extra credit for written film criticism submitted prior to spring break! Just write!

  • OMG do any of you read. "alice in Wonderland" is the sequel to "into the looking Glass". its a book. with pages and words. and am i the only one who would like to see a tim buron movie WITHOUT Johnney Depp. PRETTY PLEASE!! we get it, he's a theatrical chameleon. I just prefer less "slapstick" actors.

  • Woah, Woah Woah, now. Let's not hate on Mr. Brilliant Depp. He's not slap stick my dear, he's considered one of the best actors of this generation. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are a package deal, ok? they're best friends and when working together their movies EXPLODE with BRILLIANCE ....and, of course if you've seen Sweeney, blood.

  • i think u are the only one lol

  • NO. "Looking Glass" is the sequal to "Alice". A sequal means something that comes after something else. lol please. and Depp really isnt a slapstick person.

  • I like Alices dress.

I wish I could see what the Catapillar looks like XD

Babera Windsor is in it as well (Peggy in Eastenders) .

  • So... its a sequel, somewhat like Hook was for Peter Pan? I just can´t understand why Johnny Depp got such a non important character (cartoon version) on a movie, Mad Hatter is not that important, or that creepy in the cartoon, I can´t wait for the movie, neither can I understand this very well.

So what I believe is Wonderland is no longer ugh... wonderful?

Mad Hatter is a main character?

Alice is going BACK into Wonderland?

  • Well this movie is not the cartoon. It's more like the book, where the mad hatter is quite important and VERY creepy.

  • None of the characters are important. They are all equally irrelevant.

  • its made from the actual book read it!

  • just out of curiosity, since I´m a slow reader, approximately how long is the book?

  • The Mad Hatter is considered an iconic character though... and is rather popular, despite his unimportance. I believe that may be why.

I didn't know the movie was a sequel, though-

Is that really true? Reminds me of American McGee's Alice.

  • American McGee's Alice looks more like the original than the movie will. Nothing can beat that game, save for an exact remake but with updated graphics and a better game engine. Other than that, it'll be good as it gets.

Though I do know that already with Disney involved...I'm not going to even bother watching it, they fuck everything up that's epic and I doubt they'll ever touch McGee's alice.

Soccermom's will revolt if that were to be turned into a movie haha

  • Wow, you have an open mind, don'tcha?

  • I know right? I mean, man, no one can have a mind more open then mine

    /sarcasim

  • Actually, I've never personally played American McGee's Alice. I just meant that the art looks alike- y'know: dark, dank, fun to look at.

I too have concerns when a movie is made of a book I like. But if your a fan of a book-- seeing it on the big screen is enjoyable, even if it's for laughs and critiques. I doubt the movie will "ruin" Alice in Wonderland, as the original book still exists for reading pleasure. Besides, many Alice movie renditions have been made prior.

    This'll be no different

  • Difference to me is that

    A) Did not watch the older ones

    B) I was mostly referring to American McGee's alice.

Though it is odd that most of the time Alie is depicted as blond when originally, she's brunette, wonder what that was about.

  • i've read lewis caroll's book and don't recall him ever saying alice was a brunette

  • Disney, man. They depicted her as blond once, and it's stuck in nearly every rendition from there on.

  • read the book, the cartoon movie is nothing like it, it's a ripoff cutesy version of the book

  • they slammed the two stories together to make it interesting... happens to movies all the time... books are always better

  • I just can't wait to see this movie!

Oh my Gosh, it's so awsome! I love Tim Burton's movies! He's amazing.

And these actors are fantastic!! : Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway...

    I'm so excited *__*

  • It sort of reminds me of "Return to Oz" (one of my favorite movies) or "Hook," in how it continues the story, as opposed to just re-telling it. Can't wait to see it! :-D

  • Here he looks exactly like Freddie Mercury in the cartoony pictures of the album "Innuendo"

  • Hey i'm Adelaye, I won't click on your account because i'm noticing you just spammed my video.

  • im excited cuz its jonny deep

but isnt alice in wonderland not jonny deep in wonderland?

  • Very well put together... I can hardly wait to see Tim Burthon's newest creation.... so excited, I really hope that Danny Elfman is the director of music for this film... :D

  • yep! he is

  • This made me even more excited for this movie! This is gonna be so epic! I know it will be one of Johnny's best! <3

  • thanks!

  • sounds pretty good

  • oh, that's ok then.

  • Johnny Depp is good at playing weird loony characters that are soooo good to watch.

This suits with him well XD.

Helena Bonhams Carter's bigheaded Red Queen also should be good. I love those two actors. Theyre brilliant. And with Tim Burton they make a wonderful team. Only Danny Elfman is missing this time.

  • hes not missing, danny elfman is doing the music score!

  • I can't wait to see it, but I think disney shouldn't have let Tim Burton make the movie. I think he one of the best, but look at Johnny Depp! the kids will poop their pants!

  • If the kids wanna watch Alice, they are more than welcome to watch the cartoon version.

  • The nyour kids shouldn't go see it..

  • Even the cartoon was rather creepy. I remember only watching it once as a child or fast forwarding to the Cheshire Cat because the rest would scare me.

Hell, it scared my mother, that's why she purchased it when I was little.

  • Does anyone else think that Tweedledum and Tweedledee look like Matt Lucas? Or have I just missed out on the fact that they ARE in fact Matt Lucas? Or am I just trapped in some CGI-egg-people based Matt Lucas hallucination??

  • Am I the only one who thinks that Johnny Depp looks a lot like Elijah Wood (with makeup on of course)?

  • Nice video! How about making a new one?

  • CHECK YOUR SPELLING!

  • Nice!

  • Comment removed

  • your vid was great!!! i really cant wait to c it!!!

  • hey thanks!

  • ORGASIM!

  • I know right!

  • this is going to be very beautiful movie, good job from tim burton again

  • It was really nice !!!!!! congratilation for your video and your art, this is perfect !!! LOVED !

  • thank you!

  • this is stupid!!

  • then dont watch it, common sense?

  • eeeeeeppppp I CANT WAIT FOR THIS FILM!!!!!! My favorite actor: Johnny Depp, my favorite story line: Alice in Wonderland, directed by my favorite director: Tim Burton!!!!!! AGGGGHHH Im GONNA EXPLODE OR SOMETHING!!!

  • lol well i know a lot of ppl r wondering where his inspiration came from of this film and wat i would like to say is i believe a big inspiration to him might have been the series The Looking Glass Wars! ive read all the books (except the one which has not come out yet) and it seems quite similar to Burton's story line. Though this might not be true i do believe it is.

  • dont forget helena bonham carter

  • BTW, I think this VIDEO also was really good. I liked the style of it, and the music too :D

  • aw! thank you!

  • This movie is definately gonna be sweet. Maybe not exactly for kids but i'm sure they'll enjoy it anyway. I so pumped to see the true acid-trip version of this tale =]

  • tim burtons version.

  • isn't it ridiculous how people get het up about a film? People, it's a film. Everybody can decide if they want to watch it or not. So if you don't like it, don't write here "oh, man I fucking hate Tim Burton, he makes shit of this book", but shut up.

Well, I think of watching it. A non-kitschy film about a non-kitschy book.

  • "just a film"

It's a work of art, you know how many sweat and blood goes into it? for at least 8 months the only thing the director thinks about is the movie. It's like a baby.

  • I couldnt agree more. Its just a movie. I mean it looks cool and Ill totally watch it when it comes out, but fuck, settle down people. and as far as you saying 'its like a baby'. Get a grip. Come on. Theres just one thing. Its NOT a baby. Its a movie. and just for the sake of argument, lets say it WAS a breathing, crying, pooping baby... its not YOUR baby. Im all for being a fan or really getting into something, but I dont understand when people go off the deep end. It is, in fact, just a movie.

  • you know you should not be constant downer all the time it really takes a toll on the soul. If ppl (which i am one of them) want to get all hyped up about a movie why not let them? I mean its not hurting anyone is it? i think not. ppl should be able to express their excitement freely without being squashed upon by ppl such as yourself. let ppl dream, and wait, and scream, and get jubilant about "just a movie" if they want to. half the fun of the movie is the hype and excitement

  • When I make a movie, it is MY baby. you wouldnt understand the arts of filmmaking. the movie becomes your baby for many months.

  • Thats all fine and well and good, but what im saying is that THIS movie is not YOUR baby and it is in fact, not a living, breathing thing. And everyone is getting all up in arms and arguing back and forth like its so fucking important? who cares? It is a movie people. all you pretentious, theater and film snobs can go back and forth and try to make this sound so imoportant but its not. lets get our priorities straight here. I like movies, and I will see this one, but Jesus Christ people!

  • I never claimed that alice is my baby, can you re-read please? Can't you take a metaphor? I never said a movie was living and breathing. I meant baby as in you love it, carry it out for 9 months, work hard into it, and when its finally done, you set it out into the world of cinema.

Is it THAT hard to understand?

  • ugh. get real, its a movie bitch. if its anything like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory its gonna suck anyway

  • then stop researching "tim burtons alice in wonderland" if you think its going to stink. also, stop spamming my video.

  • I LOVE YOUR VIDEO!!!! :)

  • thank you!

  • Actually, you're all going off the deep end and apparently making a huge issue out of nothing, but hey, this is just one simple person's opinion...

  • fuck off nerd

  • Only losers swear to try and intimidate others, and they use that language to try and intimidate others, but it really just makes them seem like someone who can't properly insult a person they are displeased with, which I think makes them seem rather intellectually challenged. Again, just one simple person's opinion, and I suppose not really to be taken all that seriously. After all, this is the Net, where foul things are said left right and center and really cease to mean much after a while.

  • what's your problem with tim burton? it's for everyone. for children, and for the old folks who remembers reading alice as a kid. have you ever READ that book? it is extremely bizzare. get the DIsney version out of your head and open your mind to Lewis Carroll through the eyes of Tim Burton

  • I really hope he'll stay true to the book and not the Disney-ized version. Wait... it's Tim Burton I'm talking about! I've read both books and I understand what you mean by "bizarre". Very outlandish. Very spooky at times. Just hope that Tim Burton doesn't disappoint!!

  • well said!

  • You're extremely right! (:

  • dude hes not corrupting anyone? seen any of his work ??(obviously not >.>) sayin this is gunna corrupt kids is like saying that the nightmare before christmas shouldnt be considered a holiday movie!! and its burton hes never dissapointed with his movies as far as ive seen (which is most of them :D ) ands these guys arent dark and scary, theyre outragious and bizzare im the best way imaginable, burton without his style is like the beatles without theyre trippy lyrics

  • You're so not getting it. Or anything else, by the looks of it.

  • Fuck you man...

    Tim Burton is fucking awesome!!!!!!!

    his movies kick ass

i dont even kno who the hell micheal bay is...

but im pretty fucking sure hes not a "gooder" (i think you meant better) director than Tim Burton..

  • Oh dear...

I was hoping you would sense my sarcasm. I did go a tad overboard on the idiotic mannerisms; I have somewhat of an "odd" sense of humor, I suppose.

In all seriousness, it's established that Tim Burton is one of the absolute greatest directors of the twentieth century and Johnny Depp is one of the best actors. I, of course, cannot wait to see this movie and just completely absorb it.

Oh, and Michael Bay is a hack, but that's stating the obvious.

  • i hope this doesnt come out wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • ok, first off, YOU'RE THE FAG. can't even spell, d***hole. and second, TIM BURTON IS A GENIUS. he's directed masterpieces like Edward Scissorhands, NightmareBeforeChristmas, ect. ect. and finally, YOU WISH U WERE AS COOL AS HE WAS. i have nothing bad to say about michael bay, but u can suck it!

  • go.

    die.

  • ZELDA THEME <3; and zomg can't wait for this!!

  • wow very interesting. Nice to know that Johnny depp is another one of Burton's films and goes well with Helena bonham Carter. They're a good pair. Didn't know her parnter is Tim Burton. It's wierd how Anne hathaway has got a part of the white queen. She's a young star playing and elder character which I would think would click. The rest of the cast seem to be a well put group seeing that Alan Rickman plays a role too. I can't wait for this one. This is all just my opinion.

    Peace

  • yeah.... everyone said he got a lot of inspiration for the film from the game American McGee's Alice.

Whether or not that true... i have no clue but it would make since, b/c the plot is almost the same.... ecxept Alice isnt crazy in this... haha... =) ♥

I'm so excited!! Amaaazing cast!! and Tim Burton never fails to amaze X)

  • I am buying some shrooms!!!!!

  • WHO IS THE CAT??!!!! He was my favorite character!

  • Alan Rickman

  • i don't remember his name but he is the guy who does the harry potter audio books.

  • Stephen Fry

  • the Chesire Cat?

  • I want to see the Caterpillar, the Jabberwock, and (of course) Crispin Glover as the Knave of Hearts!

  • wow he plays in this?! Awesome!

  • HTF can you swell ya head? they enlarged it with CGI

  • that vedio made me get curioser and curioser

  • im excited !

  • I can't wait ! I'm sure it will be amazing.And 5th of March?Well,what a great gift for my birthday :D

  • Actually Alice is 19 and was 9 when she last visited is what the movie info says.

  • the flowers scare me- the ones who talk and sing... creepy.

  • im so fuckin' excited, if i go tripped out though i'll shit myself. so i'm just gonna go really, really, really blazed (:

  • i love the costumes

  • me too! I would kill for Alice's dress

  • Ha, love to see this in the new Kingdom hearts games.

  • i heard it was like through the lookingglass... but it doesnt sound like it...

  • damn, I was hoping to find out what the catepillar will look like.....

  • shiett, ima watch this shit SHROOOOMED out!

  • idiot

  • this movie release should be a stoner's holiday,,,

  • Actually, he wasn't a stoner at all.

He was on medication and the stories he told weren't influenced at all by the medication. He told them to his daughters as teatime stories to entertain them. The hookah that the caterpillar holds is nothing more than a giant cigarette, and a very common way to smoke in his time. Take the time to read his biography sometime before you call him a stoner.

  • I meant to say that this would be fun for people that enjoy visually intense movies a little intoxicated. I didn't mean to imply that Lewis Carroll ( real name Charles Dodgson) was a smoker or that the story was written under the influence.

  • mia wasikowska*

  • Should have just hired Carrot Top....THAT would be scary. And more realistic
