  • Wow...

  • Well, to be exact, its a 1944 017

Ive had this guitar for about 15 yrs now, its truly my workhorse. I also have a 1930 12 fret version of the same style...I keep that one tuned WAY down!

Anyway, thanks for the kind words!

  • Cheers Tony. I didn`t pick it as an O. I`ve got a non vintage O-16NY 12 fret and it looks a lot smaller.

Great to see beautiful vintage guitars being played so wonderfully.

  • Oops. Maybe a vintage OO-17 Martin. Sounds beautiful.

  • Mouldy: it is a 00 Mahogany Martin. I've seen it. Great guitar, even better player.

  • That`s a fantastic version of possibly (in my opinion) one of the most recorded old folk songs in history. Is that a OO or OOO-15 Martin?

Thanks for the upload. Beautiful performance.

  • I have seen a lot of great slide players. Tony is my favorite.

  • Hey cobra....you're right. Everybody plays slide like themselves. And yes, I like his style too. P.S., check out Bob Brozman.

  • About 25 yr ago I saw BB at Big Sur lodge. About 10 people in the place. Very up close and personal. Met TF a year ago. He played VAC about 30 people there. I have seen some great acts in very small settings. Wish there were more.

  • awesome...

no one plays slide like Tony.

  • Great Job, saw him at off broadway in stl. there were only 20 people there, very underappreciated.

  • Very nice.
