Loved this piece! Thank you Joy Behar for shining a light on the comprehensive health services PP offers women and men. "Planned parenthood does more to prevent unwanted pregnancies than all anti-choice groups combined". Preventing pregnancies means educating the public, providing birth control including condoms, and keeping healthcare available to all women and men. Great piece. Funny that the conservatives aren't caring enough about women to care about what happens -after- a baby is born. Ver
@diatombexx This woman is a LIAR ! Go call a local Planned Parenthood and ask them for a mammogram. Then when they tell you no, go call another, and another, and another, and another . . . .
@alowlyapprentice Reality is they kill babies. Even the lady who was the "Roe" Vs Wade worked at an abortion clinic, and is now pro-life. She saw the horror of the little bitty baby parts thrown away and often left.
@alowlyapprentice Here's reality, ""We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. @bondservant4jesus fFor them it will! More poor little black children being born is what they're afraid of ! Planned Parenthood is a racists organization to the core, starting with it's founder Margaret Sanger .
They just want to destroy the life of hispanic and balck people with low income, and they lie to them that they suppose they will help them to take care of the pregancy but they just want to destroy the babies . I am hispanic and they distgroy the life of my baby
They do not want hispanic and black race live, and they go to low income neiborhood to lie to them about suposse to take care of pregnant woman, and people with no insurance go there and the only they just want is destroy the lifes of their babies. They destroy the life of my baby I did not know what kind of clinic was that
They are acting like Planned Parenthood is the only place to go for health care?
Perhaps those who chose to defund PP didn't want to use taxpayer money for a company that gives tips on how to run underage prostitution rings and that lies about services that they provide in an attempt to elicit more support, make the other side look (really) bad, and to perhaps guilt trip the other side into giving up their attempts.
Planned Parenthood doesn't do cancer screenings, says 30 clinics in the U.S.
(1) PP doesn't provide mamograms, (if you don't beleive me call and ask!)
(2) how the abortion side of their buisness be completely unconnected when they take place in building (which has its utilites made for in tax money) and are performed by the doctors (who are also paid by out tax money) who also preform other heathcare offered there

Behar and Richards are both lying. 1) Abortion is their PRIMARY function b/c that's where they make their money. Gee, I thought liberals HATED evil, profit-seeking corporations. 2) They DON'T DO MAMMOGRAMS, folks. Call a PP office and ask yourself. 3) The 350 MILLION they get from the taxpayers every year is NOT segregated from the abortion actiivity...it goes in to the same pot as their other income. And they take a full third of that and blow it on self-promotion.
@unclerieg I couldn't listen to this garbage either. They both are lying talking about that they don't have clinics in Black neighborhoods. That's a huge lie. That they don't use government funding for abortions. That's another lie. These politicians are liars.
@MissSoldier4LIFE - I think it might be based on your income & state, because I know in Indiana as long as you have a state ID or license you can go to PP for almost anything. There's also a program in Iowa with pap smears & mammogram programs for women 40-64. So I don't think you should say it's a lie just because you don't know about all states.
"Conservatives" do not care about children, but they do care about the unborn. The reason for this apparent disconnect is that their Christian mythology claims that the Jesus character from their bible will not return until all of the "souls" are accounted for. If a fetus is aborted, the Jesus character's "soul" accounting system is so inefficient that he cannot deal with the loss of a "soul" to abortion. Anti-abortionists are simply pro-Armageddonists. "Conservatives" are insane.
I was going to make a vid on this, but with so many good ones being made, it would not be heard, within the roar. The US doesn't have burquas in it's theocracy.

@bluepuppyboy From medical studies and research. In the early stages of development the pathways that take pain signals to the brain are not in place. Also the brain is not developed enough until 26 weeks.
@bluepuppyboy -Your a fucking moron America is a Free Country and abortion is a choice nobody forces anyone to get a abortion Right Wing Cons are hypocrites you say you don't want the Government telling people want to do but you want the Government to take away a families right to choose.

@bluepuppyboy Planned Parenthood gave me birth control as a teenager, cancer & breast cancer screenings as an adult, and yes, one life-saving abortion last year. Planned Parenthood SAVES LIVES on a daily basis. They are a fantastic organization & I am grateful for being alive today because of their professional and courteous medical care.
You know what's really funny, the Tea Party claims to be all about the constitution, and yet the very thing these folks are trying to pull IS unconstitutional. For those of you who don't know, this bill is considered a bill of attainder. Simply put, a bill of attainder is one that convicts someone without trial. That's EXACTLY what happened to ACORN and what WILL happen to PP unless we take a stand. Read the Contract Clause in Article 1 Section 10 of the constitution and Article 1 Section 9.
@alowlyapprentice Anytime. To be honest I didn't know about bills of attainder until a couple days ago, so I did some basic research. Personally I think this should be done anytime a Tea Partier tries to shove their interpretation of the Constitution in our faces. They're willing to treat it like an American flag but when they violate it, that's a whole different story. Talk about double standards.
@Homer177 Actually... that was a really bad comment. Planned Parenthood isn't being tried for a crime, they're being defunded because their organization has rampant corruption and has been demonstrated time and time again to be doing subversive things.
Planned Parenthood, like ACORN, were abusing the public trust. They don't have to be convicted of a crime, but they should not be permitted to continue operating like this. They should never have been funded in the first place.
@Homer177 No, I'm not a Lila Rose apologist. But neither am I blind to what's going on with Planned Parenthood. But the thing that caught my attention was your use of "Bill of Attainder". Planned Parenthood can lose their federal funding and continue to operate. But if they continue to draw from the public coffer, they need to be considerably more up-front than they have been.
@toaddreyfuss I'd like to see proof of this corruption you speak of. So far all I've seen is a bunch of right wing demagogues blow this crap way out of proportion with the help of a woman whose specialty is acting and video editing. It just seems to me that the right wants to keep everyone distracted from the economy. Abortion and sexual health are very personal issues which is why that needs to be left up to the doctor and patient.
@Homer177 Homer, with all due respect, the corruption has been demonstrated. Instead of critically looking at it, you're taking the ad hominem against the maker of the film. This is not out of proportion - you simply refuse to consider the viewpoint on the right, and choose to use ad hominems against "the right wing demagogues". I'm just surprised that you think that putting government into this doctor/patient relationship somehow makes it a private, personal issue.
@toaddreyfuss Fine. Let's look at this 'critically' for a moment then. Despite this woman's claims, both the FBI and Attorney General Holder found no evidence of wrong doing. Not to mention the letter from Rose regarding said corruption was posted on her own website, and then removed. The videos in question were also found to be HEAVILY edited. How many more shenanigans must people like these be allowed to pull before THEY are investigated?
@Homer177 Yeah, I'm really surprised Holder doesn't want to prosecute anyone... he kinda picks and chooses, doesn't he? And wow, somehow it seems like I've heard your comments before. You know, I have to say I'm not surprised though. Somehow I feel like I'm talking to a wall.
@toaddreyfuss I feel the same way considering you still have yet to provide any evidence of corruption within Planned Parenthood besides the obvious fabrications created by Rose and Fox News.
@Homer177 With all due respect, you've set me up. "Hey, Toad... I am demanding that you produce evidence of fabrication.... but anything that anyone comes up with I'm going to decry as 'obvious fabrications'." Nice. Really. And you think you're talking to a wall? Seriously? Look, I don't care if you respond anymore, pearls before swine, eh? Go ahead, declare me one of your perceived simpletons that doesn't agree with you.
@toaddreyfuss If there was corruption, fine. I know that Kansas is dealing with a few cases themselves, and I'll wait and see how it all plays out. If they are found guilty, fine. If not, fine too. But it seems to me that the religious right are using this as an opportunity to make ALL abortion illegal, regardless of reason. That's what I think is wrong. For all the talk about liberty from the right it seems funny that they do everything they can to keep women from having bodily autonomy.
@Homer177 This is NOT a bill of attainder, Homer. Planned Parenthood is not being convicted of a crime, but they have been proven time and time again to have used public funds innappropriately, in addition to the latest expose in which they demonstrated willingness to flaunt the law. This is not a trial. It is merely defunding them - if people want to keep them operating, it's up to them.
Who said that the government should be providing these services anyway?
@Homer177 This is NOT a bill of attainder, Homer. Planned Parenthood is not being convicted of a crime, but they have been proven time and time again to have used public funds innappropriately, in addition to the latest expose in which they demonstrated willingness to flaunt the law. This is not a trial. It is merely defunding them - if people want to keep them operating, it's up to them.
Who said that the government should be providing these services anyway?
@Homer177 WRONG WRONG WRONG. The Tea Party aren't trying to find them guilty of anything. What they are trying to do is have their funding pulled through the budget process which IS NOT the same as a Bill of Attainder or an "ex post facto" law meaning punishing someone after the fact or passing a law that affects something retroactively. Such as the Lautenberg Amendment or the bill that Barney Frank got passed.
@WarDog229A Then why not defund every frivolous war we're fighting right now? And while we're at it, why don't we stop giving subsidies to big oil and any other industry too? I'm willing to bet those two alone more than top any government spending on Planned Parenthood services. This is about the Republicans trying to stay relevant with this little culture war of theirs by keeping people like James O' Keefe and Lila Rose in their pockets.
@Homer177 And I've no problem with eliminating the subsidies to big oil
Both parties do it and reap the benefits of it. The Dems are just as dirty as the Repubs. I don't like or trust the Dems or the Repubs and you're caught in the trap they've laid in the "Divide and Conquer" strategy they are employing playing American against American. I've seen through their BS and the veil has been lifted from my eyes. You keep playing the partisan and believe what the LibDems tell you. I won't anymore.
@WarDog229A I never said I was with the Democrats. Of course they're just as bad as the Republicans because they have no spine, and haven't for years. As far as the Tea Party goes they aren't any better either because they're doing exactly what the Boston Tea Party was fighting against. If the current Tea Party were actually there something tells me they would have thrown American tea into the harbor, not that of the East India Company.
@Homer177 Show me where they're against a Limited Constitutional Representative Republic and I'll listen. James Madison said " I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on the objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents." Show me what it is they're doing that goes against the Constitution. I've been waiting for someone to show me proof. All I get is anecdotal evidence and that's not proof.
@WarDog229A Okay then, only 8 so-called 'Tea Partiers' voted against the Patriot Act. The rest of the fuckers rammed it through, especially in the senate. We all know how Scott Walker created a budget shortfall by giving the super rich more tax breaks, not that they pay any taxes to begin with. He used this as an excuse to go after unions. And let's not forget their actions to restrict female reproductive rights.
@Homer177 Scott Walker is a Wisconsin problem. 8 held true to their beliefs and the rest were influenced-cajoled into going along with the Rep party leaders. WOW, Big surprise their and I've no love whatsoever for unions and could care less about them. To me they are nothing more than the labor wing of the Democrat party and the public unions are basically taking money from taxpayers to pay the public employees and giving it to Dems. A back sided campaign contribution.
@Homer177 it's a direction and I'm not a Tea Partier. They are the only ones that have been able to gain any nationwide support. The issue is that the big bnoys are dug in like ticks on a hound and dislodging them will take nothing short of an electoral evolution and everyone in their districts usually thinks their guy is doing good by them it's just all of the other that are the problem. That is a problem that will be difficult if not impossible to overcome.
@WarDog229A Well the other part of the problem is that non-voters outnumber the people who do vote. Just to give an example here in Florida only about half of eligible voters participated in last year's midterms, and it was even worse than that in the primaries. It's like this just about everywhere else too.
@Homer177 I know but it's better that they not vote than to vote from an uninformed position. "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be." Thomas Jefferson and I think that is why both parties are destroying our education system as well.
@Homer177 We restrict what a woman can do with her body anyway on moral grounds as well. Look at prostitution laws. Same thing. A woman's right to choose what she wants to do with her body but we say no you can't do that. That argument is a canard and I'm not falling for it. And since when did you ever think that politicians didn't give tax breaks to their most wealthy contributors? 8 stood fast and did the right thing. The rest caved into the leadership and influence.
@Homer177 The senate and Obama approved and extended the Patriot Act. The House changed the rules from a super majority needed to pass the extension to a simple majority. When these people get into positions of power and influence up there they aren't going to give that up. They certainly won't ever allow the Patriot Act to be repealed. How else are they going to be able to monitor us and keep us down and under their thumbs. Why don't you think that they still won't pass term limits? All scum.
@Homer177 When Barney Frank got his bill through telling the people that got bonuses that were legal and contractually obligated to be paid to them that if they didn't return them he would tax 90% of it, that is a Bill of Attainder or ex post facto law.
@wowoak I already know that, thanks. Margaret Sanger, big racist.

Homer177 11 months ago
@Homer177 And I've no problem with eliminating the subsidies to big oil
Both parties do it and reap the benefits of it. The Dems are just as dirty as the Repubs. I don't like or trust the Dems or the Repubs and you're caught in the trap they've laid in the "Divide and Conquer" strategy they are employing playing American against American. I've seen through their BS and the veil has been lifted from my eyes. You keep playing the partisan and believe what the LibDems tell you. I won't anymore.
WarDog229A 11 months ago

Homer177 11 months ago
@Homer177 Scott Walker is a Wisconsin problem. 8 held true to their beliefs and the rest were influenced-cajoled into going along with the Rep party leaders. WOW, Big surprise their and I've no love whatsoever for unions and could care less about them. To me they are nothing more than the labor wing of the Democrat party and the public unions are basically taking money from taxpayers to pay the public employees and giving it to Dems. A back sided campaign contribution.
WarDog229A 11 months ago
@WarDog229A Then I guess removing political parties and campaign contributions would be a good start.
Homer177 11 months ago
@Homer177 it's a direction and I'm not a Tea Partier. They are the only ones that have been able to gain any nationwide support. The issue is that the big bnoys are dug in like ticks on a hound and dislodging them will take nothing short of an electoral evolution and everyone in their districts usually thinks their guy is doing good by them it's just all of the other that are the problem. That is a problem that will be difficult if not impossible to overcome.
WarDog229A 11 months ago
@WarDog229A Well the other part of the problem is that non-voters outnumber the people who do vote. Just to give an example here in Florida only about half of eligible voters participated in last year's midterms, and it was even worse than that in the primaries. It's like this just about everywhere else too.
Homer177 11 months ago
@Homer177 I know but it's better that they not vote than to vote from an uninformed position. "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be." Thomas Jefferson and I think that is why both parties are destroying our education system as well.
WarDog229A 11 months ago 2
@WarDog229A Well maybe you're right. Look at Florida, my state. They managed to elect a criminal like Rick Scott.

WarDog229A 11 months ago
@Homer177 The senate and Obama approved and extended the Patriot Act. The House changed the rules from a super majority needed to pass the extension to a simple majority. When these people get into positions of power and influence up there they aren't going to give that up. They certainly won't ever allow the Patriot Act to be repealed. How else are they going to be able to monitor us and keep us down and under their thumbs. Why don't you think that they still won't pass term limits? All scum.
WarDog229A 11 months ago
@Homer177 And the culture war is being fostered just as divisively on one side as the other.
WarDog229A 11 months ago
@Homer177 When Barney Frank got his bill through telling the people that got bonuses that were legal and contractually obligated to be paid to them that if they didn't return them he would tax 90% of it, that is a Bill of Attainder or ex post facto law.

Awesome. I think there's enough material out here, now, for me to finally build this playlist: "The Republicans Unmasked at Last."
I'll let you know when it's up.
