  • Was the comic book made by DC or Marvel?

  • The book was even longer, it would've been a 6 hour movie if they followed it exactly. The book was better, this was style over substance.

  • omg what a bunch of cheese cake bullshit ig ..... this movie is amazing ....

  • Man, I was really looking forward to hearing what he thought the message of that shit was....

  • Wow...., i really dont know how he does it....,i mean..., chris bores is the only person i know, who manages to say absoluty nothing with words...

Does someone heard the plot for this movie? does someone heard who where the characters of the movie?

Oh chris..., you should been warned before watching this movie..., is NOT for empty headed simpletons...

  • "not as bad as pulp fiction" wait, what?

  • dude watchmen was awesome, i never watched a better superheroe movie, is amazing how innaccurate this guy is in his reviews

  • Best super heroes movie ever made ... no doubt.

Thanks to all who made that AMAZING movie possible...

Please, get the same guys and make a live action Dragon Ball movie to make me forget about the crapy evolution shit.

  • I'm sorry, but it seemed like people who enjoyed this movie would probably enjoy Dragonball: Evolution and Avatar. Is wasn't a bad movie, it just wasn't a good movie. Let it be said that I'm not saying Dragonball was okay. That movie sucked.

  • I'm not usually one to complain about someone else's apinion but Watchmen was incredable and if you disagree that's fine.

  • The worst movie about this movie is the movie because the movie is movie....movie.

  • 1492 people are a bunch of idiots

  • You would bring up his balls faggot

  • "The Watchmen - It's not as bad as Pulp Fiction" Enough said.

Please go kill yourself. Go back to the cutting room? Are you shitting me? They already cut out tons and tons of stuff from the original story to be able to even make it into a movie. Christ man, it's not even called "The Watchmen" That's like saying "The Star Wars".

  • i hated watcmen

  • I like the film, watched it like 5 times. Great camera work, sets, colors, costumes etc. . But when compared to the graphic novel, I find that it has the core of the story but not the sublte details and the little things that made the graphic novel great. BUT, it's still a hundred times better than bamwhamgoodguyswin: revenge of the guy.

  • im sorry but this review is complete nonsense, i respect your opinion but i felt you kinda missed the boat on this movie. The graphic novel was ten times better, but the movie it self was great, not perfect, but pretty well told compared to what the original plot was. Its a comic book that cant be made, you lose too much important detail. The director tried his best to pack as much in as possible to appease the fans, was it worth it? In my opinion, it was. Hey, some people get it, and some dont.

  • watmen was like darker version of hero movies, like batman and xmen combine.

  • Worst. Taste. Ever.

  • @Mrster U talking about yourself?

  • @DarkMind95

No, the guy talking in the video, right above. Do you see it? Click it and let it play.

  • YOU NEVER READ THE FUCKING WATCHMEN COMICS! YOU NEVER READ THE HULK COMICS. YOU NEVER READ THE CAPTAIN AMERICA COMICS. YOU NEVER READ THE IRON MAN COMICS. how the FUCK do you consider yourself to be a comic book fan if you know jackshit? "Put the story in linear order"? HOW THE FUCK WOULD YOU KNOW??

  • @Bob2IzIcon this dipshit doesn't know shit about anything. he can't review games, or make good videos, he can't even think of a decent joke. he's just doing this for money.

  • @BTTFMovie Can you tell me how does he receive money for this?

  • i agree with some of what he said but watch men is amazing, i agree with seeing the blue guy balls, wtf he should get some trouser and it is so radom, but if you dont have the movie get it ,8 out of 10 is my opinion, best bit good hand to hand combat thats insane.also it is long but i dont really notice it becuase it very entertaining, good fighting and the story is good, this guy made it sound really bad even though its not.

  • It comes very clear from this review that you have not enjoyed the novel. Do that, and I think you will rethink many of your words in this review ;)

  • you son of bitch

  • @4realRecon A bitch. Learn to speak..... for real.

  • You are disturbed about Dr Manhattan's blue balls but not about 4 seconds of Rorschach chopping the head of a guy(directors cut) or Dr Manhattan exploding people around...

I don't get it. Why sex deserves to be more censored than the brutal violence. That doesn't have any common sense...or does it? :(

  • Face it, movies are ruined.

  • Goodfellas. You sir clearly know nothing about Cinematic history and just made your self sound so dumb it's truly is astounding.

  • @barbull123 you are an idiot. Pulp Fiction was amazing. And as for not being remembered for generations its on the AFI Top 100 movies of all time list and it was nominated for numerous Academy Awards. In fact it's even said that it was a bad decision when Pulp Fiction lost the Best Picture Award. Know what your talking about before you jump into a conversation about film. You do see that Pulp Fiction re-invented the crime-drama genre it self and is said to be the best thing since

  • @2bawesomeable i agree pulp fiction insane so thumbs up

  • excuse me?..as "Bad" as pulp fiction?!? i got a feeling that this guy doesnt know what hes talking a bout

  • @Ridude765

So watchmen is a pretty good film then?

  • HOW CAN YOU REVIEW THE MOVIE WITHOUT KNOWING THE MATERIAL?

  • You're right, it was long, but that's because it had almost everything in the graphic novel. And I do mean that ALMOST everything, they barely left out stuff from the book.

  • you claim yourself a filmmaker yet you judge movies beforehand based on a trailer.......everybody with a brain knows that the trailer is made to make the movie look "cooler" then it actually is its basic stuff.

the point is NEVER EVER judge a movie by the trailer you dumb fuck

  • Watchmen is one of the best films of our generation.

  • Wait what can you see dr manhattans thingy wow i mean why the hell do people watch at his crouch

  • This is my favorate movie for the well thought out Soundtrack, Rorschach, and the way how rewatching this movie will open your eyes to the plot.

  • Not as bad as something like "Pulp Fiction"? What he hell is wrong with you idiot. Pulp Fiction is an iconic American film that will be remembered for generations. Pulp Fiction was AMAZING and reinvented the crime genre. You are an idiot and I will never respect your opinion on anything. It's a good thing 1,926 people are smart enough to know you just said one of the dumbest things possible.

  • @2bawesomeable Yeah!

  • @2bawesomeable no one gives a crap about what you think, second no teenager or kid knows what the hell is pulp fiction it will not be remembered for generations, i mean honestly your a anoying fuck bye

  • @barbull123 ladies and gentlemen i present you fanboyerism at its finest.

seriously pulp fiction is an excellent movie and of course no kid would know what the hell pulp fiction is because its not a movie for kids!

  • @h3ct0r182 wow once again no one gives a crap

  • @barbull123 so your a moron

  • @mattind69v3 wow your on youtube trying to pick a fight and your calling me a moron are you really that big of a fuckhead that you need to justifie yourself wow your a dick bye

  • We asked for YOUR opinion about the movie, Chris Bores, Not YOUR copied opinion!

  • Dude, I am almost in an agreement with you. It was an okay movie, until I got to the end. In the comics, the ending was different from the film. I'm sure you already know the cinematic ending. The comic ending, on the other hand, was when Viedt faked an alien invasion, and whipped out half of New York. This led the Soviets and the US to become allies and unite the world in one peace. Then they cut out the scene when Dr. Manhattan and Viedt had a quick discussion on "peace" and Dr. M goes to Mars

  • wow what a nigger for stealing avgns work, word for word, no creativity, you all do know that avgn made his videos in 04, published them in 06 right? only this cock sucking faggot has no creativity of his own, typical of an ugly faggot raised and molested by niggers

  • You "went and seen" watchmen?

Even though you thought the movie was okay, it could have been a lot better?

Ten seconds, two flaws. Fix the writing.

  • this movie, while keeping 90% from the comic, STILL managed to completely butcher it

Alan Moore refuses to watch any adaptations of his comics.. and he's completely right, every last one is a complete and utter failure (except V for Vendetta, which is mediocre (but still a butchering))

  • Irategamer really needs to read the damn comic.

  • Maybe you should go watch some cartoons and leave the reviewing of the "big-boy" movies to some one else. Maybe some Justin Bieber or Twilight would be more your speed.

Also, it is said: "I went and (SAW)" Watchmen. Not: "I went and (SEEN) Watchmen.

  • Three things I learned from watching this review: 1) Chris Bores is totally unfamiliar with the graphic novel on which this was based. 2) Chris Bores just doesn't seem to fully grasp this film or its point. 3) Chris Bores is worse at reviewing films than he is at reviewing video games, and that is really saying something.

  • Did he say it wasen't as bad as pulp fiction and he called himself a movie director? Pulp fiction is one of the best movies ever made. Full of great dialog, great scenes, great characters, great action. But well everyone know Chris Bores is bad at all of those things. So i can understand him.

  • watchmen was sooo crappy

  • this movie was too smart for him

  • also, whats with the random sex scene that was a little retarded

  • Yes, Watchmen does give you a lot to keep track of. All of Alan Moore's stuff does. Honestly, they cut a LOT of stuff out for the movie; I'd say the movie was already reduced to bare bones. Manhattan's flashback didn't occur at the beginning because his origin isn't particularly relevant, the only reason why Moore included it at all is to illustrate the non-linearity of Manhattan's perception of time. I'd rather not launch into a full literary analysis, suffice it to say, they did fine.

  • Huh? You didn't like Pulp Fiction or was it the mixed up flashbacks? You need to read the comic at least a little to get what's going on. It would've been nice if Chris Nolan made this movie. After all The Dark Knight was the best comic book film ever. Chris, you need to read the book. It makes a lot more sense.

I do agree the blue penis was a bit much for the movie.

  • Oh and P.S. Nobody asked for your opinion on this movie. Eat a sheep's dick.

  • @AshLionHeart wtfs ur problem

  • @supermark64 Your mother, she hasn't moved from having sex in 8 weeks, what is she a dead fish?

    Eat a dick.

  • @AshLionHeart wow... easy, its just an internet show. my god

  • @supermark64 Cram it or I'll rape you.

  • @AshLionHeart wtf y r u so mad

  • @AshLionHeart I'm pretty sure supermark64 would LOVE to get fucked by another guy!!

  • @pretearking oh, bravo! best comeback ever. i was being sarcastic, i have to say that because ur too dumb.

  • I went and saw watch men on opening weekend

    facepalm

  • I give Watchmen a worth seeing but read the novel first. The movie does follow most of the novel. It is a faithful adaptation but not perfect. The are a few things that could have been cut out *cough* Nite Owl and Silk Spectre "love" scene. I didn't like Pulp Fiction either.

  • Have you ever read the graphic novel????? Idiot!!!! It was faithful to the book which also contains flash backs, the length of the characters storyline, WTF.

  • Comment removed

  • This movie focus toward the Grahpic novel, and those novels are extrem popular, if they hade made to much changes in this movie then the fans of the novels wouldt have enjoy it, in the same way wolverine origins was created after the novel.

Also Pulp Fiction has been on top 100 on imdb,

    Stop review movies,

  • I heard you were ripping off The Angry Video Game Nerd? Confirm?

  • @AshLionHeart Don't hold you breath on him replying. He's been trying to hide this fact since his first "review". He will never admit to plagiarizing the AVGN, or any of the others, whom I shall not mention.

  • @JeffD123321 Never expecting him to answer. Just calling him an idiot : ]

  • @AshLionHeart Nice. Yeah, he is.

  • @JeffD123321 so what if he copied people

  • Comment removed

  • @pretearking wtf is that supposed to mean like that dosnt even make sense

  • Comment removed

  • Um you know that it's based on a Graphic Novel right? The flashbacks and speeches were in there. And the length was because they tried to add as many things to it as possible so that Watchmen fans wouldn't be upset. I mean, I guess you're looking at it from a ignorant perspective, but whatever.

  • @mrslash11 There are fans of the novel that didn't like this movie.

  • Wow.... Wolverine origins was awesome and Watchmen was just ok? Stick to reviewing games bud. Movies are not your strong suit.

  • There's only one scene I didn't like in the movie.

    "I love him."

    "He raped you!"

    "You were born from that."

"I understand and I forgive you. I like him now."

    What bullshit!

  • Also, taking the flash-back scenes and putting them at the start would be a bad idea. Why? Because the plot begins with the Comedian's murder. If you put the flashbacks before that, you have a lot of stuff going on before the actual *plot* starts. Those scenes are for fleshing out the characters and providing perspective on certain events and viewpoints. Also, the nonlinear narrative ties into Dr. Manhattan's monologue, as he experiences time in a nonlinear manner.

  • Chris please do not use words you cannot pronounce..

  • "I when and seen Watchman opening weekend"... only you could fuck up the first sentence.... high-five!

  • i didnt like the movie the first time i watched it. but the second time i was able to follow the plot more carefully and it i really enjoyed it.

  • The Ultimate Cut is excellent

  • movie sucked blue guy and rorschark was cool

  • pulp fiction and watchmen might be two of the greatest stories of all time.

  • There were things that I disliked about the movie, but you have the wrong reasons.

Complaining about the flashbacks and the speeches does not make sense, because those were *in the book* and were vital to the story.

And cutting more out? No. They already cut a good chunk of material from the theatrical cut, including Hollis Mason's death and the "Tales from the Black Freighter." Watchmen was a big book, bigger than a lot of other graphic novels. Of course it's going to be a long movie.

  • @pannicatack they Included the Black Freighter in the Ultimate cut

  • @oiramldx But we're not talking about the Ultimate cut. We're talking about the theatrical release.

  • irategamer likes the blue cock

  • Pulp Fiction rocks! I outta pop you!

  • Wow this is the first time I have ever seen the thumbs down bar longer tan the thumbs up bar, and after watching the video review I see why. You obviously don't know what you're talking about, as this movie was great

  • Did he say "as bad as Pulp Fiction"?

  • You can tell he's a bad personality when he says something like that and when he says that he wasn't too bothered by the sight of Dr.Manhattan's balls.

  • so your not a fan of the comic book and your trying to review the movie? lmao okay and you've directed better i presume?

  • what message was there at the end of this movie?

  • No, you do not understand how complex something like "Watchmen" can be; a film most film critics and comic book aficionados deemed as unfilmable. What exactly have you directed that can even compare to the scope of this film?

  • Irate Gamer is painfully dumb. Cut an hour out of the movie??? You're a hack and retarded. Please quit making videos.

  • You fail so much.

  • mostly for the fans of the book.

  • You love Wolverine and Watchmen is just ok? Man, you suck.

  • After seeing the animated version of the comics, believe me that they did cut out a lot (about two hours) already.

The movie was in pretty much the same order as in the comics, which means back-stories were inserted after a few issues whenever the authors thought them up. Yeah this does end up making the movie a bit disjointed.

Just remember that some of the ending was heavily changed for the movie, such as a certain hero does *not* get the blame for the mess.

  • U have to read the novel. The movie would have been alot longer if they put more of the main stuff in it

  • ok do not diss pulp fiction. that is the best film ever!

  • The comic book was pretty much like that to with the flashbacks

  • no, the story is flowing much better, dr. manhattan would be boring if you knew everything about him.

my guess is that you did'nt get the story's flow and style.

by the way, trhis was a horrible review

  • I liked this movie and I think that it should be a must buy. But I respect your opinion.

  • I'm surprised you considered this a "Rental" when you considered "X-Men Origins:Wolverine" a must see. We actually saw it in theaters and it was great.

    4 Stars for this movie.

Then again it's your opinion and we respect that. (No Offense)

  • I love how how he calls himself a director and pretty much says he could direct a better film.

  • i love how he calls himself a director and sucks ass at movie reviews. Disgracing pulp fiction and saying xmen gets an A++ . . . thats enough I need to make a conclusion. But to each his own I guess

  • Stop picking on him.

It's just his freakin' opinion, he liked

    "X-Men Origins Wolverine" better.

  • Epic film. I'd say, best of 2009.

  • The long speeches you were bored by are called DIALOGUE.

And you said because of dialogue, it kept sidetracking from the main plot.

Nonstop action isn't a main plot.

  • And I guess thats why you didn't like Pulp Fiction. There wasn't an explosion every five seconds.

PF was driven by story, characters and dialogue, like most great movies are.

You like movies that are driven by nonstop

    explosions and car chases.

  • This guy really needs to read the comic book and then he will understand why the movie is like it is.

  • ok? this movie was great

of course it had its flaws but its the closest to what you can get to the actual source material

    and its length?

    length doesnt matter

look @ the godfather for example

this is a great movie comparing to the original

    i was impressed

this is the closest to what you can get from the graphic novel and this is a stylish, metaphoric, and beautiful

  • I STRONGLY suggest you read the comic book. You'll actually wish they cut out LESS in the film.

  • best parts of the movie in the trailer? No shit.

  • Not as bad as Pulp Fiction?

Um...yeah, I definitely do not believe your a film director. Your reviews are awful...they're always contradicting and stupid.

Even an average film director can review a movie decently...god.

  • That being said, no one should be forced to read a book before watching a movie to understand it.

If WB marketed it in that way, it'd probably make even less. People just wanna watch a movie, not have to have prior knowledge of it.

I think they should have split the movie into two.

Then they would get it all in and not have it be so long, because face it guys, the every day Joe (like this guy reviewing) didn't expect a superhero flick to have so much talking.

  • Wow...it's obvious you didn't read the comic book and maybe that's the problem with the movie.

Take out more? The monologues and soliloquies were what MAKES Watchmen. It's not Spiderman, there's a deep story and heavy political, social and philosophical undertones. It's a book you can interpret a million ways, it's incredibly deep.

And you wanted them to take out more? Then what's the point of making the movie?

  • that guy looks to much like batman

  • That's the point. Watchmen is supposed to be a deconstruction/satire of superheroes. He looks like Batman because its making fun of Batman.

  • @legozombie9000 All the characters in Watchmen are based off of other superheroes. The Comedian is based off of Peacemaker, Rorschach is based off of The Question and Mr. A, Ozymandias is based off of Thunderbolt, Dr. Manhattan is based off of Captain Atom, and Nite Owl is based off of Blue Beetle.

This is because initially, those were the characters that were going to be used in the story, being characters DC had just acquired. However, it would've left them unusable, so they made new ones.

  • Are you kidding me? They left a ton of stuff out from the book and you are asking them to leave out even more!?!

  • Dude you gotta read the comic. It makes more sense wants you read the comic. and if they left anything out then people would have been complaining about all the stuff left out. And it got 3 out of 5 stars so read the comic before you actually review the movie. and you didnt need to look at his balls by the way.

  • Watchmen suck! There like 2 Sex Scene. Watchmen should had been kids movie not some damn Rated R movies. Jeez

  • No.

  • Yeah, except it was based on an extremely explicit graphic novel, and maybe the director didn't wanna piss off hardcore Watchmen fans who have been waiting years for a Watchmen movie.

  • read the freakin comic before you make your review you dumb shit. this movie basically followed the comic to the letter.

  • the dudes balls bugged the hell out of me i mean c'mon no one wants to see that

  • Shitty review is shitty. This movie followed as close as possible (in my eyes) to the comic book. This was an amazing film. And as for the long speeches: lol wat i dnt want talking moar fighting moar killing dnt give me plot development gimme action.

  • not as bad as pulp fiction?! LOL

  • I think what he's trying to say is that going from flashback to flashback wasn't as bad as pulp fiction.

This is the second review I see of his and in both reviews he says, "Being a film director myself" which is fine. But I would like to see more insight if that's the case. I would like to know in more detail what you would do different. The things mentioned are kind of petty. I'm just saying, that when you say you are a director yourself you have to deliver more than a 3 minute review.

  • he says hes a film directer but enjoys awful movies and says great games and movies are bad

no wonder people hate you chris you have no idea what you are saying at any point of any video

uwe boll wanne be (mind my spelling)

  • Of coruse you don't mind Dr.Manhatten's balls. Who knows you porbably even liked seeing a pair of glowing balls.

    -TheFishyGamer

  • What?? back that up man

  • I kinda liked this movie, it was very close to the book, almost exact actualy.

Anyone else that thinx his voice sounds wierd?

  • Chris Bores likes the blue cock.

  • "Not as bad as Pulp Fiction."

NOT AS BAD AS PULP FICTION?

Duuuuuuuudeee. You say the time and place, and I will be there and

    I - WILL - KICK - YOUR - ASS

  • @TehEditor Calling one of the best movies made of our time bad, is idiotic. No one likes this fuckin idiot, and yet he continues to make stupid comments, lies, plagiarize, and insist on being a living troll. I would love to see you kick this guys ass. He deserves one. This guy is a total P.O.S because he knows how many people he's pissing off and he continues to do it. I wish I could bash this guy in the face a couple times and KO him like Mike Tyson's Punch out.

  • "being a film director myself" wow this guy doesn't know what he's talking about

  • shit no one likes this fucking fat ass!

  • This review was shit from the very first few seconds in...

I'll use a direct quote: "I went and seen this movie..."

    ... -_- Need I say more?

  • Movies are not simply action moron. If you were a director, you would realize that movies of quality are often long (The Green Mile), and the use of flashbacks, backstories, and long speeches help to build the complexity of the movie and help the viewer do a long lost art called THINKING. The comic book was not simply meant to be another action comic book, but was meant to be intellectually stimulating, as is the movie. You're just another moron pretending to know what you're talking about

  • well said

  • you truly know that irate gamer is astupid fuck

  • omg did he just say pulp fiction was bad?

    ARE YOU FUCKING STUPID??????????????

what kind of movie director are you?

damn... worst reviews i ever heard...

  • @bulaxa no your fucking stupied for thinking he said that Obviously he was talking about the use flashbacks in the two films not how good the movies are.

  • @jamesnintendofan there's like only one flashback in pulp fiction if i recall, and that is Butch Coolidge's (bruce willis) child memory (the one with christopher walken). the rest is fragmented narrative, not flashbacks...

  • this movie is not that much

  • if you direct films i hope they never get released because after watching a few of your reviews i can say you have very bad taste in films and no idea what makes for a good film.

  • This review sucked, you sir are a total moron if you think about manhattans balls made the movie bad.

  • You don't need to read the novel to love the movie but if you don't like flashbacks or other things you HAVE to read the novel to understand why is made in that way....Bad review

  • you dont know shit about anything you put on you tube. read the fucking comic you idiot then talk random shit you still know nothing about

  • i love this movie. and i found it to be extremely faithful to the graphic novel. and the length of the movie didnt bother me since it went by pretty fast.

who watches the watchmen? i did, and loved every second of it.

  • So he's pig fucking ignorant about film just like he's pig fucking ignorant about games? Who would have guessed?

  • Pretty shitty review guy, this is just your opinion of the film and the subject matter not a review.

You didn't mention anything about the acting or special effects, did the movie have a good ending, was it slow or fast paced that kinda shit.

Aside from this"review" not being a "review", your only major gripes with the film is how accurate it was to the novel. These films are usually reviewed by the fans of the source material, not guys like you.

  • dude this guy must wank over AVGN

  • You didnt bother to read the graphic novel before going to see the movie. If it was edited to the extent that you mentioned, it wouldnt have had anything to do with watchmen and would have ruined the entire point of the novel that its based on. Next time check your facts before you review something.

  • thi guy is just a rip off

  • Just ok? What the hell? Read the book dummy. If they edited an hour out of it, it wouldnt make any sense. And it wasn't anywhere near hard to follow. The movie moved like the book did. It was epic. It told a brilliant classic story. Read something besides mainstream Marvel and DC title dude. Terrible review.

  • there isn't one thing I would take out of this movie. Every bit of character development had a purpose in the end, and made the ending that much more powerful, and
