how do you get that much of a chain, when i go to the merchant in the westersand and not leaving the westersand i lose my chain, but if i don't go to the merchant i can't get phoenix downs. am i doing something wrong?

@wardogs667 i think what you might be doing is touching the crystal which breaks chains. If not i dunno i havent tried this myself. Was wondering do you need firefly for this aswell or what?....?

@LuckyDaysOfRaya14 sure u can, on disc one.. only penelo though even w/o firefy.. u can abuse her on disc 1 coz penelo's exp/level will reset to 3 u see.... thats why her level is 3 in this 122333 challenge

You can do this really early when you first get penelo, because when you get her back later on, her level is reset but she keeps the LP.

Looks like a lot of people are confused. There are a couple of things going on here.

A 122333 challenge is simply a new game where Vaan doesnt level past level 1, Baltheir and Fran don't level past level 2, and Ashe, Penelo, and Basch don't level past 3.

How? - don't kill anything except bosses until you get the firefly accessory which reduces exp to 0.

Why? - bragging rights, you can defeat the final boss at these levels.

How is it possible? - while normally you'd think you'd have to be level 50 to defeat the final boss (needing the stat points) don't forget you get a lot of stats from the LP you spend in the augumentation area in the liscense board.  So your characters will be as strong as say level 30-40 when you have purchased them all, they will just be lacking the additional stat points you get each level.

Like I said it's bragging rights. A sort of unofficial achievement.

Second thing.

FIghting this Undead guy because you can get lots of LP and money from kiling him. Money is important for some players because a stong attack is the ability "Gil Toss" in which case you can toss... 9999gil is it? and always cause 9999 damage. (correct me if I'm wrong about the GIl Toss guys)

The most important thing to do is zone out. Any monster in the game with a long death animation has a bug. If you zone out while he's still dying you can usually zone back and he'll still be there while you will have gained the LP (and exp if your after it) from him. Don't get too greedy. If your after the loot he drops make sure he's close the the line. You literally have two seconds to escape after he dies. If you don't get the loot bag on the first attempt give up on it.

Just start a new game. And dont level up before u get a Firefly (accessory that stops u from getting EXP) There are a few guides on Gamefaqs. You could check it out. :)

you might of found out by now but one of your party members has to have less than 10% health remaing aka hp critical and when you go into the sand corridor (im pretty sure thats the name) it will appear in front of u

There's an Acessory you gain I think it's when you exit from Paramina Rift and go to the SalikaWood [it's before the SalikaWood actually].

This acessory reduces your EXP to 0 so you never level up :D.

Once you kill Dustia, you have to exit ASAP. Don't wait for the EXP and Gil to show on the screen. Throw a Phoenix Down, it dies, exit!! As you can see in the video, I'm really close to the exit so I can run out as soon as I can. Good luck

i have made it fairly easy to belias without lv up, its easy to do. through out the rest of the game once you get firefly,its not game sharked.

swatfrog20--dustia is located at dalmasca westersand,corridor of sand. its west gate from rabanastre (the first town you start the game) when you reach 'corridor of sand (dalmasca westersands) you must have critical HP

(10%) othervise dustia will not apear.

the reason why the second wall is easy is because he is slower and theres more of a distance with the 1st wall you should atleast be over the level of 25 because the 1st wall is level 20 also make a note that you need t okeep your characters weapons balanced only give these weapons to the characters:\

Vaan, Ashe, Basch: Only Swords

and Basch can have Axes and Hammers

Penelo: Only Daggers or Swords

Batlheir: Only Guns and Staffs and Poles

Fran: Only Bows

It isn't anything you start by pressing a button "Start 12333 challenge".

Just make a new savefile and Do not kill any monster before you get the fireflys at phon coast.

you can level up but seeing as it only gives 1000~ xp its incredibly inefficient

well it takes about 64 hours to get up to level 84 in the beginning when there is only VAAN in the party. and thats alot, but if u look at it from my p.o.v., if u play 2hrs a day then u can reach about lvl 84 within a month. thats good enough 4 me cz later on, its gonna be easier and faster to get to lvl. 99 since Balthier and Fran will always be a level higher than Vaan when u 1st unlock them..

if you have the warmage's monograph (the grimoire that costs 20,000) they drop books of orgain from the start.

wrong! book of orgain is their MAIN loot that they drop most often. Flame Staff is their rare loot, that they don't drop quite as often (chances increase with higher chain levels). The monograph makes Dustia also drop Arcana, which it won't drop at all without it. You don't need the monograph for regular loots, only the Arcana (which is only good for bazaar goods, it only sells at 10g)

if you talk to the moogle kill the turtle and get bac to him go from the way when you started and that thing will run back to the moogle then he will die and there will be a flower it will help my characters were lower thatn that

since arturs is so damn vague with his explanation here is a better one. When you cross from the ogir yensa sandsea map to the nam yensa sandsea there are two ways you can go a northern or a southern route. If you take the northern route to the "sandscale bank"(check your map)you will meet with a moogle and a rouge tribe member. kill the uratan eater as instructed and then return to sandscale bank. watch scenes, follow the rouge, check the flower he leaves behind, use eksir berries on boss bird.

You have to leave the screen before the Exp and LP shows. You'll be able to chain him if you do that, but it makes grabbing his loot harder.

bocbui, not to be a downer, but the max chain limit is 999. but you can still "chain" 1000, it just won't count up past the 999 mark. i actually started my game over to try this glitch, but knowing me, i'll screw it up. i also restarted cuz i missed that rare monster in the garamsythe waterway that is only there once, ummm, razorfin i think it was called.

the system is great. but I´m sad for the story... characters are so great... vaan, ashe, penelo, balthier, fran... but you don´t see much of "them" in the game. not like characters in other final fantasies..

yes, it turns off a lot of players that final fantasy 12 is less an emotional character bent story and more a slowly developing political drama. I love the game but i think even you or i could have come up with a better story.

Early on, you can try doing hunts. They give LP but no EXP. But storywise, all you can do is RUN away from all the monsters. Earliest Firefly is in a chest at Stilshrine of Miriam.
