  • same monitor here :) nice one

  • my cheaper hd5750 is faster than this card

  • Oh my old 6800GT does that when theres a load of text on the screen, its really annoying.

  • install your drivers...

  • the sounds come from the card or the speakers?

  • I have a 6610 XL ( in a medion MD8383 ) Wich makes this kind of noise, but you almost can't hear it.

  • loud hardrive also

  • same screen as me awsome screen it is

  • same ;D

  • dude is that your computer making the load sounds? your system blows lol

  • I could not agree more, I'm going to order my first SSD drive shortly, it's going to be awesome! (I hope)

And for the record, the mic was placed on the harddrive while I was recording this video ;)

  • @Ern0T the blow drying sound, sounds like you need to clean it out the other stuff idk xDD

  • I think you have a case of squeaky scroll bar...

  • wow I just ordered this card. Hope mine doesn't make those noises.

  • its not in the card, its in the drivers...

  • @josh053 yup

  • Its the coils on the back of the card and most mid to high end cards make a little noise but the worst are like this one. :s

  • lol horrible noice. I dont get that on my 9800GTX+.

  • Nice vid.

  • What the hell.. That sounds like my old Pentium 4 450!

What was the problem? the fan?

  • I have a similar problem with the 9800GTX+

At first somehow i didn't notice the sounds going on but when i watched this vid i payed attention on that...

I bought two cards XFX 9800GTX+ for 96 Lats (Latvian currency) each ( approx. 177$ US)

And on the back of the cards it says Made In China

No problems on playing the latest games, but the hissing sounds are annoying

  • Yep, I would check out that fan on the card. It sounds like a bad bearing or something on that sucker, but then again wouldn't it make that sound all the time not just in a intense graphics environment. By intense I mean not idle.

  • You have a nice Marvin : )

  • lol@background

  • I know the problem now, its a transistor

  • It sounds like you haven't greased the windows scroll bar in a long time :D

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

  • Yeah..I had that too with my Zotac GTX+..Now I got a GTX 260 and it's working fine now.

  • unlucky, if it does that to a screensaver, i would not recomend playing crysis XD

  • I LOVE YOU, I GOT SAMSUNG T220 22" MoNITOR. LOVE YOU :D. I love my new monitor is amazing

  • my old comp got same prob with u. but after formating, prob solved

  • ouch, that sounds bad =/

  • Your mom sounds really bad!

  • thats really wierd! glad you got a new one though :)

  • lol thats funny :D

  • lol that sux id take it back

  • dude ur pissed, get a new one. There is somthing malfuntioned with the one you got

  • lööööl but as you can see he gets a new card that works^^

  • it sounds like geiger meter :D

  • i never heard a graphiccard does make sounds like that XD

  • How does the new on play TF2? You aren't lagging by any chance, are you?

  • It should play fine.

  • then u should kinda remove this vid cuz people may think its a crapp card :/

  • that sound may bee from ur cpu...btw did u replace the old card with a new one same model(9800GTX +) and the new one didn't make that sound? plz reply cuz idk if i would get a 9800GTX anymore if it makes this sound

  • Yeah I got a new 9800GTX+ and this one is silent and works greate! I was just unlucky to get a defect one at first..!

  • låter fan som den poparpopcorne 1:19 där :D

  • Nice fps lol, im getting to of these for sli on tuesday.

  • i have that sound when i run crysis XD

    in another game sound quiet.

my card is 8600 gt gigabyte no fan.

  • I head gigabyte 8600GT silent pipe( no fan ) and it made some strange noise with every game.I returned it to the shop end replaced it with a model with a fan. Man when I sow 90C+ temp on this card I didn't wont another with no fan.

  • i want to buy 9800gtx+ with fan XD

    because 4850 have high temp

  • It is not your video card and it is not your speakers. That noise is the sign that your power supply is not giving the card enough juice and that pretty soon it is going to give out. I had the same thing happen when I bought a brand new 9800GX2... replaced the power supply and I haven't heard that noise since.

  • Ok, but in my case the card was defect. I returned it and got an new one back, And this one is silent! :)

  • I have a 500w powersupply and I was running a 9800GTX+ with that same noise.Now I have a GTX 260 and it doesn't have that noise. :)

  • Sorry, for fighting with you on that one due's video. I am returning my problem ridden 4850 and getting a 4870 for $190. Will get a Core 216 if I manage to find the money for it.

  • May I ask,why is it problem ridden? Is it because of the heat?

  • uh, no idea

probably though because it has no VRam heat sinks

Bought a 4870 though for $160, so cheap

  • What brand? My friend has had a HIS and a Gigabyte 4870. He returned them and settled for a Sapphire 4870. ;o

  • Sapphire 4870, with better cooling.

I guess he and I both made the right decision on the 4870 selection. =D

  • Sapphire is my favourite brand for ATi cards. I bought an X300SE from them about 4 years ago. ^_^

  • So you don't hate ATi as much as I thought you did . . .

  • Nope. I love ATi. I was considering to buy the 4870 but I have nuisances(that's how you spell it,right?). One of them is a hot graphics card. :o

  • I would say that is more of a pet peeve, but since I got the Sapphire version (not reference!!!) I feel perfectly fine because the cooler is much better. Friend request sent =D.

  • There is an Asus 4870 with a tri-fan cooler. :o

  • I don't like Asus, they have really, really bad heat sinks for the vRAM. That's why I am returning the 4850, that and it gives me blue screens.

  • Not to mention they have shit warranties. LoL

  • So true =D

  • oh and the accelero don't even need a fan for decent cooling :)

  • IT doesn't get hot if you buy the accelero s1 rev 2 for it. it's so damn cheap now! 13GBP in the UK. HALFs the temps dude :). great memory cooling aswell. most coolers neglect the memory alot

  • umm some cards have this problme, its not damage just deformed but you can just return it

  • I had the 9800gtx+, I had the pink screen problem. just type 9800gtx+ and pink in google to see what it's about. ALOT of people had that, and since it was my first nvidia card I hate nvidia now! BFG wouldn't even replace it! just sent it back to me! had to sell and bought a 4870 1gb :)

  • I bought one 9800GTX+ from Zotac. I returned it and got myself a GTX 260 Core 216. I learned one new thing. Don't buy from Chinese companies whose origins are from mainland China..

  • Yeah so BFG is from chinese made aswell??

  • Dude...I'm talking not to trust chinese companies. Zotac is one.<----Don't trust that company.

  • WHAT!? Really!? I bought a card from PNY . . . the 9600GT and it had the black screen of death problem. They wouldn't help me out and even hung up in my face when I requested that they send me another card and I will send them the bad one back. PNY suck BFG offered a 30 day step up program 24/7 365 true technical support, and I have been extremely satisfied with my purchase from them.

  • go to the store and change it

  • Done!

  • Fan va jobbigt ljud xD

  • OMG! That noise is driving me crazy!! I had an ATI card that made the same noises but it was too old to get a replacement but after my PSU blew and I bought a new one that noise stopped.

Also the 9800GTX+ is a great card, hope you like it.

  • Yeah, the card is great it's a big difference from my old 7800GTX card!

  • Hey Ern0t, My 8600GTS did the same thing man, it wasn't the speakers, GPU fan, or HDD it was the GFX Card myself. Defective card it is. I'd return it, i contacted the store I ordred it from and they were mre than happy to replace it.

  • I actually just got a new card back after sending the defective one in! And this one is working perfectly! :)

  • It's defective.

  • maybe it's the pc speaker not the normal speakers

  • there is always gonna be a faulty one in all the GPU's that are made.

  • i think those are the speakers, cus GPU's don't generate the sound from the speakers.

  • Mine dont do that sound and with the fan at 100% i ear it only a bit, no sound like that, maybe your speaker got interference with the Spid thing in the card

  • I use USB speakers so there should not be any interference, However the speakers was turned of while making this video..!

  • try underclocking the card pretty severely and see if the noise still persists

  • i have a very slighy squeek somewhere on mine but it is really unoticable. think youve got a bad capacitor somehwere but i wouldnt nessacerily say gfx card perhaps psu or mobo. did you get this resolved?

  • I have sent the card back and hopefully I'll get a replacement soon!

  • that actually sounds like a hard drive, how old is your hard drive(s)?

  • It's not the hard drives, the sound is clearly coming from the graphics card and the computer is silent with my old card!

  • Somebody is welding inside your case.

  • hmmm... now that's unacceptable!

  • sound was coming from my speakers not card.

  • Your telling me your video card is physically making that sound? And that sound is not coming from your speakers? If thats the case you need to RMA that card. I've heard that sound before, but only when I use my motherboards on-board sound and the sound comes from the speakers.

  • Yeah it's the card that makes the noise. I had that problem with sound from the speakers on my old card. But that was easily fixed by removing the sound cable from the CD drive (which went right by the grapicscard).

    I'll defenetly return this card!

  • dude i have that very same card but evga and when i had vista i would scroll on webpages and get a very annoying sound so i installed xp and now its working perfectly. your sound is much more severe. btw what motherboard do you have i have a shitty pc chips one.

  • I have a A8N-E

  • now u put me into misery..... does the sound in the games mask that crappy sound from the card? I have 8600GTS and i know what u mean by this sound coz i can hear it too but its far more quiet...i think it has sth to do with the power connectors...

  • No, unfortunately the sound is way to loud to be masked..

  • Något är ju uppenbart fel......
