this song is so cute, so melodious and so charming that words of any language will not be able to truly pay homage...the way @tewask had it translated, puts icing on the cake....this song has in fact come from heavens...such romantic words, melodious tunes, awesome delivery, fantastic poetry and above all the great captivating voice of Madam Googoosh makes it certainly an immortal beauty....I heard it when I was a school going kid in late 70's and am blessed now to revisit this jewel of a song

@Rambelchambel No its not true, Both pakhtuns and balochs joined pakistan democratically, Pakhtuns opted for pakistan by voting for pakistan in a referendum held in 1947. Balochistan (British Balochistan)joined pakistan when shahi jirga voted in favour of joining pakistan in 1947, while nawabs of state of kharan, makran and lasbella also joined pakistan, only qalat has joined pakistan quite late after one year

Interesting about the popularity in Pakistan - and Afghanistan: the song is written in the Afghan / Tajik style, and Googoosh is set that way in the clip. Maybe a close link to the Pakistani taste?
