the coolant in the engines would be boiling as would the oil way above the temperatures oil is designed to take,the hotter it gets the thinner it becomesand it loses the ability to lubricate,so things like the main end bearings and cylinder bores are getting scorched and pistons are starting to melt also the water pump and rad cannot cope either and the heat build up causes hoses to fail and gaskets also

Neither car physically "blew up" they just over heated and seized up that is all,even if you did that to a brand new engine it would do exactly the same thing at maximum revs, Standard road going car engines are just not designed to take that kind of punishment so the inevitable happens ,

@103959770979 i dont know if you are still around, but these cars were already dead. notice the numbers on the side? they come from a demolition race. every car in germany has to pass a complete, fundamental security test to be allowed to drive on public roads. every 2 years! no matter how good or bad the condition of the car is, if it cant pass this test, you either repair it till it passes, or you gonna have to wreck it. this is why german automobile manufacturers are so good. they have to.

Unfortunately all they're doing is seizing up the engine, not blowing it. Running it with no oil means the parts just overheat, expand and stop the engine in its tracks. You can hear it as it stalls at the end!

Now, if you actually drove the car really hard and put the power down to strain the engine, THAT would eventually blow it up...

Surely by over revving an engine the internal parts are being over stressed therefore the chance of something breaking is high, even if its just a belt. i think the engines did very well no to blow.

It does indeed stress the hell out of the engine and yeah I have to totally agree that they both did well not to explode! But, they didn't give either a chance to blow up by taking the oil out. Saying that, they'd probably still be going now if they hadn't..

There are some proper engine blows on here though - one good one is of an RX7 doing burnouts and seeing the bonnet pop up, and another is the infamous Ferrari 456 clip.

FYI, there's not only the oil as fuel and they just discovered, that unused underground oil reservoirs begin to fill back up (may be a lie although). This means, oil is NOT fossil fuel. Im not on the side of big oil, and i ask you to take your hate to somewhere else where it might not hurt anyone.
