And of course, if we end up with some kind of immortality, it should be strictly regulated considering our population growth.

@t0mmygun95 Don't forget Blade Runner... it's the number one cyberpunk-film when it comes to people borrowing it's look. Huge skyskrapers, bright neon lights, big screens with weird commercials running, japanese text everywhere, androids, leather jackets, shootouts - you name it :D

The director of the Ghost in The Shell -animes (Mamoru Oshii, also done similar movies, like Avalon and Appleseed) has said many times his favorite film is Blade Runner and he took the most inspiration from it :)

All the trailers made me feel like this was a game I liked, after playing the BETA I knew I was going to buy the special edition, that's why I stopped playing, I felt like I had to wait for it to come out but it was worth it, the game is simply Amazing, my candidate for GOTY 2011 for sure.

@Anaztazioch well first of all, Deus Ex was released over a decade ago so it's kinda old now, keep that in mind. this is a much newer and up to date game for these next gen consoles. secondly, in Deus Ex they have nanotechnology which was a tremendous leap forward from prosthetics and augmentations. Deus Ex: Human Revolution takes place sum 25 years before the events of the original game i'm pretty sure.

Im not talking about that. Look at sentry bots in HR and Deus Ex/IW.

Look at mechanical augmentations in HR and compare them to Gunter or Anna Navarre. Or the comando forces from MJ12 (weapons in hands/changing hand to minigun)

Next look at the rail gun in the gameplay trailer. Such weapon was first introduced in IW

@Anaztazioch It's implied that before Deus Ex 1 there was a huge financial collapse. Hell, from the looks of things Los Angeles is pretty much knocked off of the map due to some sort of attack. Not to mention Gunter Hermann constantly refers to a skull gun implying that mechanized augmentation was pretty advanced in the past. However during Deus Ex 1 mechanized agents are being phased out and several of their parts are malfunctioning. They definitely aren't good as new.

@Anaztazioch That is the issue with making prequels. Computer hardware just keeps getting better so the prequel will always end up looking better than the past game. Then there are engine issues as well. Also, mechanical augmentation is downright frowned upon by the time of Deus Ex 1 occured, even by the poorest of the poor. Mechanical augmented were treated as the lowest of the low by citizens by 2052. And as jarnw said, it is getting phased out for nano-augments. There were none in IW, fyi. 0!

If you can turn invisible, regenerating health shouldn't be too hard.

They should add the possible effect of tumors or growth if you over-use whatever they use for regeneration in the growth though to make it more interesting, I mean, if you speed up the cell process that would be a dumbed-down logic that could make the game a bit more fun XD

dx 1 has regenerating health too :S why cant the third have it as well? i mean, the rate shouldnt be too fast and there should be a limit on how damaged you are, like your non liling parts of the body like arms and legs cant really be regenerated, they need to be replaced. so if you run out of biocells or get your arms and legs blown off, too bad for ya.

@Icarcus Yeah, auto-regen. I can't stand that crap. I didn't like it in call of duty and I don't like it in Halo 2 (with the shields). They also added 3rd person "finisher moves" which is just lame to. They never had that crap in the original and best Deus ex.
