Muchas gracias por este video. Yo pensé que tenía 2 pies izquierdos para la salsa hasta que ví su video. Para un principiante como yo esto esta SUPER. Ya puedo bailar con ritmo la salsa, aunque sea unos pasos básicos.
Dude , you are freaking off timing and that at the end is crap! cuban style is not even part of the ESPN salsa championship because it sucks ass!!!!!!
@JehuCarmona Chill out hombre. We know the music is off by 4 counts as it was edited in wrong but oh well. C'est la vie. In terms of the ending, if you recognized our moves as Cuban style then sweet! I think I'm a pretty shitty dancer and just prance around every now and then for fun but having a style makes my heart warm. Take care dude and long live ESPN. Don't forget to hug your mother.
Dear friends, the Salsa Rhythm is 4/4. This is how it sounds when you listen to any Salsa music. Check it out on wikipedia. So, when you dance, you have to count: 1234, 1234, 1234. You count 123567, it makes it 6/8. Something is wrong here. If you dance to Salsa music, you'll be out of rhythm. Could someone comment on this issue, please? Thanks.
Yep, you're totally correct. We totally know salsa is 4/4. Sometimes for beginners it's simpler though to omit the silent beats of "4" and "8" as it's easier to pick up that way which is why we count "1-6" in the video. This is how we were both taught when we started dancing. As we progressed, various salsa instructors we practiced with started to explain the 4/4 beat/syncopation. which was easier to pickup since we had a good understanding of the the actual basic steps.
@vouser the musicians write 4/4 goes 1234, which is not conviniente for dancers, cuz you rock step once with left then with right on each measure, the salsa frase would be 12345678 then we do a pause on 4 and on 8, if you are dancing on1 or ny on2, it would be 123 567, it may not seem much the pause cuz our body is always in the move, you could do also sharper 123 pause 4 then continue, but since dancing on a slot is better to dance progressive, meaning passing your foot on the count 3..
you guy are awsome ,I love it you said you are not pros but for me you are more then pro, I am an old lady I dont whant to a class room you are my private angels
