  • You can not change the midi notes on the DTXPlorer. They are fixed in the brain. You will have to use either a computer program or if you are using a midi to USB device you will have to remap them there.

  • plz help me how i change the midi notes on the dtx explore

  • how did you afford those amazing white pads? :D

  • can you make a video how to make the rockband kit work from electric drums please that would be reallly helpful because i almot broke my tv thats how frustrated i was so if you can please make one you just need to vid it and put it on no editing or if you watn...

  • I unplugged the original snare and hh to plug in the mesh pads. I did use one of the pad as a cymbal. You can see it to the right of the ride. That one is plugged into the extra port on the back of the bass drum pad.

  • howd you hook this up what parts do you need? i am purchasing same kit

  • How did you go about adding pads to the DTXplorer kit, where are they plugged into? Or are others just unplugged?

  • Very nice. Wish I had seen this video before I ordered a drum rocker.

  • i prefer the mesh head pads in snares, but into anoter ones i prefer to use the PCY pads, without mesh head...

your rimshot fail becouse you need to put another trigger in the snare, roland uses the rimshot in the program Snare+rim = rimshot yamaha uses one trig *only* for rimshot and another 2 for snare (center) and rim

  • I am wrong about it only producing 2 sounds. The manual says it can do 3 sounds. I also finally got my rim sound to trigger but only when I hit right on the piezo. I tested the piezo and it is just not putting out enough voltage so I will order a new one from Roland.

  • I just double checked and my snare is a PD120 not TD. It has 2 peizos. I replaced the center snare piezo before this video as I was having a lot of missed hits. I did not replace the rim piezo so that might be why I don't get the secondary sound. The DTXplorer will only produce 2 sounds for the snare channel even if you have a 3 trigger snare.

  • My snare is a TD120 and my hh is PD80. I have not been successful at getting the DTXPlorer to do the rimshot. I did not get it for that purpose though. I just like the feel of the mesh. I want to replace the other pads now too.

  • Ah! but then, you cant actualy upgrade the sounds right? For example to create the rimshot, cross-snare hit, or a choke effect in the case of the cymbals!! that sucks!

  • that is not a td120 snare at all, otherwise you would get the three zones with the rimshot and crosstick. that is a roland or pintech mesh pad.

  • There is a thing that im yet unsure of, because i was reading on aDTxplorer summary and it said that with the right pads, you could get the drum set to do choke effects... so is that the only thing you can do? meaning you cant actualy make a diferent sounds with a ride?

  • Check the video info for my website. I have a full writeup on how I connected the DTXPlorer to my xBox.

  • I have a question... I have the DTXPLORER, but the original snare sucks... can i like upgrade the snare to a TP65S or a TP100? I mean i am unsure if my controlers will produce the rimshot sounds...

  • yes but these two pads (both triple zone giving you a rimshot and crosstick) will work. i recomend the tp100, because its much better than the tp65 series. BEWARE tho. only the three zones will work if you plug the three zoned pad into the snare input on the module. the snare input is the only one that will accept three zones, while both cymbal inputs allow two zoned pads. hope i helped

  • i had that question too, thanks for the help

  • How do you attached the dtxplorer to the xbox?
