I disagree. Timur was never defeated in battle. He defeated the Il-Khans, Hindustan, the Golden Horde, the Ottoman Empire and the Mamluks. If his army had met the mighty Ming Army under Emperor Yongle, he will surely be defeated. At least he died invincible.
