It is lovely, but I'm afraid you're missing the point. The song's about coming to the end of yourself, and in that moment of weakness, learning what it means to trust God.

You see, we only see our little life and think it's everything (I saw a cloud and thought is was the sky), but God wrote all of history, and everyone's personal history. He knows the big picture and my place in it, if I'll only let go and let him put me there. He knows better than I.
