We get nearly 8 iterations of Halo, endless versions of Madden, but 8 years going and we still don't half NOLF3. What the hell is wrong with this pictures?
ok so i have to ask from 5:00or about 7:00 is it posible to be in freefall for that long without pulling the parchite seriously i love how movies make freeing seem like it can last forever like seriously the most i see porfesionals doing it is like 30 seconds or something how on earth can some people do it for like 2 min.
NOLF is a fucking masterpiece and it deeply disturbs me that it's not on all the lists of greatest games. Relative to mainstream titles, this game is practically unknown - and that's just fucked up.
I agree completely. The absolute worst example of this I've seen is a "top ten funniest games" video I watched once (on Gametrailers, I think), they included stupid games like Leisure Suit Larry, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and the WarioWare franchise (!), but made no mention whatsoever of NOLF (or Worms, for that matter)! Blasphemy!
@kalibos Totally agree with you... it kicked ass with the storytelling, humor and sharpnes, not to mension the veriety of weapons, maps and beautiful graphics. With all that put together it sertanly is one of the best games ever. I still got it on my game shelf. Didn't buy the scond one though.
Ohh, you should. NOLF2 is great - almost as good as the first. Not quiiiiite, but damn close. Certainly better than the vast majority of sequels, and better than most of the garbage being pumped out these days. It also looked very pretty for its day, just like its predecessor.
That's because Fraps records videos at 30 FPS max by default, but you can set the limit higher for a smoother (albeit larger in filesize) video, if your CPU can handle it, anyway. I set the upper limit at 50 FPS.
They're intelligence items. Each area has at least a few laying around, they act as a sort of optional pickup, and you're rewarded to some small degree for picking them up. When you pick them up you can read them (in the case of letters, papers, dossiers, etc.) or at least a description of what they contain. Some of them provide little bits of plot exposition, but most are just humorous notes or correspondence between characters.
holy shit! sorry I don't know that was a game of 2000! excuse me because I torment you.......(my English is very bad because I'm 13 and I'm Italian...)
And get everything that looks important: Papers; files; whiskey! Whatever!

@ Tortuga--it's called "No One Lives Forever". There was a 2nd one, too... :)
In fact, I was about to comment to say... man... I wish they had a sequence like THIS in NOLF2... they sort of did, but not skydiving, hehehe

What game is this? The graphics remind me somewhat of Half-Life.
Pyro627 2 years ago
Its full name is 'The Operative: No One Lives Forever'. It was released in Nov 2000, so it is from that era but it's a fair bit newer.
Its engine (Lithtech) has actually stood the test of time rather well imo, it even has bullet penetration (bullets go through soft materials).
The whole game is an homage to/spoof of 60s spy movies/tv shows, it's easily the funniest FPS I've ever played. :D

Sweet. What exactly are all those "top secret" folders and whatnot?

They're above average for a game that was released in late 2000.
