Coincidentally I also speak Spanish (though I'm by far not as good as you), French and I learned Latin. But that's not the point. @Naaavii: I don't know in which country you live but since Germany is pretty big (regarding population) it does pay off to dub the stuff that is running on TV because older people are not used to read subtitles for English interviews. Personally I find it irritating because I tend to listen to the original speech and then the dubbing gets in the way but what can you do? *shrugs*

@Naaavii Tell me about it... it is so terrible, especially because some of those translations are really bad (and wrong), as you can sometimes hear when the dubbing starts later or ends earlier than the original speech.

But, unfortunately, Germans are kinda spoiled, we get everything dubbed or translated, and many people don't speak/understand English well (or at all). Also, most of them aren't good at reading fast enough to read subtitles.
