  • Monotone voice:

    "Intersection 500 meters"

    "Turn right"

    "Wake up."

    "I bet that hurt."

    "My LCD is broken."

"Repair shop 3 blocks to the left and then turn right."

    "Wake up."

  • @Kenzofeis dry.

  • I've used Garmin gps for years what you can do is moisten your finger with spit around the edge of the black adapter and apply it to the glass then pull down the lever which secures it to the windshield. If you don't the gps will fall down every time from the vibration of the windshield.

p.s. there should not be any sticky substance I'm not sure what your referring too???

  • this is perfect GPS... but instead of saying turn right at college st... it says turn right at 300 meter... thats not what Im looking for...

  • HI

THE GPS WAS RIGHT WHEN IT TELL YOU TO TURN RIGHT, ACTUALLY U DID NOT FOLLOWED ON SCREEN DIRECTION, IN MINUTE 2:48 SHOWS , U SUPPOSE TO TURN AFTER 150 RIGHT METER , BUT U TURNED IMMEDATELY

  • I was watching your video, but at 4:45 you say that if you drive 70 mp/h with your car it's actually 75 mp/h.

But with all the cars I know it's the opposite, when you drive like 120 km/h or anything in miles it's 110 km/h in real life. I know because when I went to Paris I had to drive past like 30 speed controls and I was driving 140 on my speedometer and I was only doing 130 on my GPS, didn't get a ticket!

So in other words, cars say you're driving faster so you wouldn't drive to fast

  • @TheProceeders I don't know ... I had 3 or 4 GPS's before and they all show the actual road speed as being HIGHER than what on the speedometer. But I only buy American cars so my speedometers are always ANALOG. If your car has a digital speedometer, that's a different matter.

  • @smd5231 Weird, maybe it has to do with the european cars. I have an analog speedometer but I can see it's pointed at 130km/h for example and the (TomTom) GPS says like 123 km/h

  • Why does it say i liked this video?? I never did that hax

  • I'm betting that since the mall roads aren't "official" roads (private roads), it doesn't take them into account, hence trying to take you down the main road.

  • I bought my tomtom because of ur review. how is urs working any hints as to what i can do to make it better. sometimes she give the longest directions

  • @bonifyjamaican You shouldn't buy things based on one review only. As I mentioned in later comments posted after the video was shot, I now switched to a professional trucking GPS, made by Rand McNally. But that TomTomXXL 540 was the best GPS FOR CARS I had. None of them are perfect. Check out the users forum on TomTom website for feedback and suggestions.

  • Thanks for taking the time to review this GPS. I just got it as an early Xmas gift and I have already cleaned the window and dash! What I wonder about it sticky residue left on the windshield or dash, how easy it would be to remove, and which place is better: dash or window.

  • @goatbut29 Sticky substance? I think plain water or any glass cleaner would remove any traces you might have. As far as the positioning of the GPS is concerned, I'd put it at the bottom of the windshield so that it sits to the right from you and does not block any part of the road as viewed through the windshield.

  • @smd5231 Thanks smd. Im such an old fart I remember when sticky things would potentially ruin your dash, etc. Guess theyve improved the adhesive these days. :p

I went with the dash cos in my car im so far from the windshield that its not convenient to reach up there.

Oh yeah...this GPS is friggin awesome!

  • Hi, I really like your review. Can you tell me how the traffic jam function works? Do you jut switch it on the unit and it recieves the most recent data itself or would you have to connect a phone or something? Thanks for the info!

  • @mrksdlx It's supposed to work by itself. It receives all required information over the air. At least that's my understanding. Everything is built in. That's what "T" in the model name stands for ("traffic updates").

  • This video is very informative, thank you.

  • why don't you follow exactly what the GPS shows???

  • @KatiushaVN4 This GPS is for cars. When I drive a truck with a 40,000 lb load, I have to watch for restrictions. I recently switched to a truck specific GPS by Rand McNally. It routes me where trucks are allowed and I don't have to worry about low bridges any more.

  • What kinda car u drivin toppin out at 220? Lol.

  • @BlackCaScorpio It's a Canadian car: the speedometer is in KM. 220 KM is equal to 136 MI. The car is a Cobalt Sport 2.4L with a 5 speed. It's really fast. I have to watch my speed all the time :)

  • @DSMluke That's right. Especially if you see "no trucks" sign or too many low-hanging trees (the natural enemy of my conestoga sliding tarp).

  • @smd5231 Tree: 1 - Tarp: 0 You: unhappy
