Makes me think of the fall/decline of humanity. Most of Stormwind wiped out, most of Lordaeron wiped out, Alterac fell into ruin, Stromgarde fell into ruin, Dalaran wiped out, but rebuilt to leave the Alliance, most remaining human settlements in Lordaeron wiped out in Cataclysm, Gilneas has all but fallen in Cataclysm, Theramore and remaining human settlements on Kalimdor wiped out in Mists. Stormwind is all that stands and the kingdom can barely even hold itself together.

@SFBay69 I don't even play WoW any more, but it's nice to see people still manage to turn the slightest thing into a pissing match between Alliance and Horde... Also personally I'm not on the same page about better looking characters, I always thought the Horde races looked much more interesting than the usual generic human/elf/dwarf, but I guess it comes down to your preferences.

i love the music, but i almost cry everytime i hear it, i even went as far to turn the sound down when going through the area, my dog died just before cata came out and this music always reminds me of her, she was a lovely dog, and hearing this after her dying was just too sad, it made me cry remembering her eyes, im not in tears now though, because i remember what a good life she had with me lot of people say its only a dog, but she was a family member to me, was heartbreaking.

I think this same soundtrack played in Redridge at night. (Am I right?) I remember making a camp fire and looking out across the lake, the sound of a wolf howling faintly in the background. It was so quiet, so peaceful, so lonely. Beautiful. I was too new to know about tier gear, raids, or loot options. I had not become disenchanted yet. I only knew that I loved the game. And somehow, for 9 minutes, this song transports me back there again . . .

There's so much depth in this song. It contrasts the conflict between the rugged nature of elwynn forest, the wild life, the natural inhabitants (like the kobolds) and whatnot, versus the human civilization that has settled there. When you hear the flute, you imagine the nature and mystery, and when you hear the more orchestral part come in, you think of human expansion and kings and queens. These two forces are constantly at war in elwynn and this piece captured it perfectly.

Don't get me wrong I aren't a hater of everything except vanilla or anything, (I think it is a better game now than it has ever been) I just grow weary of the system because I have been playing so long. - I think am just getting bored of it and scarecely play at all these days, which is a shame because it is a truly awesome title in vg history.

I didn't like this music, until I made a new human char and continued to do all the quest lines involved. It expresses so elegantly the emotions of all those terrified villagers as they're fields are plummaged by savage orcs and they lose their family to this horrible threat. Its freaking epic.

But of course, vanilla WoW music is more nostalgic and for that I prefer it ;D

Ahh this is the most relaxing piece of work ever done. Personally I am more on the Horde side but Alliance music just own Horde for music. What I do is

I put on my earphones and listen to this every night so i can fall asleep. It can't get any calmer than this!

what i think everyone misses, is the feeling of being a noob. Exploring the forest getting your 1st weapon. Everything was so magical. the game also had some difficulty, now with the new expansion its cool it just doesnt have the spark that vanilla had and all players had at the begining

@boobadooga123 I disagree, the game is HUGE!!! Sure being a noob and discovering all the new areas and perks as you level is fantastic! But there is so much to level and so much to do, ie professions, acheivements. The list goes on. People have been playing the game for years, and it takes years to acheive everything. Sure, you will reach a point that you have been there done that, but it is an experience that I will look back on fondly. :D

@boobadooga123 I started in Wotlk so when I heard all this about a lich king terrorizing the world I thought oh jeez this game is for real. I started on an rp server, the thought of taking the evil lich kings head for the Alliance and presenting it to my my king as a trophy. When we finally killed the lich king I felt my heart drop now that evil in Azeroth had been silenced and the game had no further meaning. Cataclysm, still no meaning. Expansion kind of sucks.

@HumanVersion2 If you chose the human race, it was the very first thing you heard when you entered the game for the first time. After that, you were generally leveling and exploring in the starting area trying to figure out how to play, all the while, this music was permanently implanted in your brain.

If you go to my channel and listen to the original version from Vanilla, just listen to the Day and Night version. It's epic.
