they are for the judges. they sit in the car with clip boards so they can write who missed a jump, who cleared it, or how many refusals someone had gotten.

@ponygirl140 i don't think the car was a jump... i bet it was there just in case a rider fell or something.

That bounce is crazy! its hard enough doing one with stadium jumps, nevermind with 3'6" xc jumps!!
