If you look at the arrest records for the Border Patrol, they mostly arrest Canadians and Mexicans. Those are the two I would say that "Illegal Aliens" as a phrase brings to mind vis a vis enforcement of American immigration laws and the force that we pay for that does that.

Way more Mexicans get arrested than Canadians, but you get the point.

I am saying that the phrase Illegal Alien brings fear to those who are the target of enforcement of immigration laws, and since America is near Mexico and Canada, those are the two nationalities that get offended by the costume, although I am not at all offended, as a "Hispanic" person who was born in America. I think it is offensive to actual space aliens.

Mexicans can be any ethnicity, like Americans can be Japanese or Scottish or whatever. Its the Sirians and Alpha-Centaurians who suck!
