  • fuck the plot in you they've ripped off one of the greatest hardcore bands

  • lol is the same wtv hahaha

  • oh my god dude get a life those sound nothing the same

  • Dude, they sound vaguely similar. Get the fuck over it. It's music. You wanna share your opinion, then okay. But you don't have to be a complete douche-bag asshole about it and say they ripped it off. A normal person would chalk it up to coincidence and forget about it in less than 5 minutes.

  • @thiscityisdry did you notice in the song perceptions, its kind of a rip off of parkway drive? haha whatever though I love FTFD, parkway and the plot in you anyways!

  • I'm sorry but if you don't see the blatant similarities then you are clearly delusional.

  • hey guys! could you help me and listen to my band Truth For Treason we are a local band from washington courthouse ohio....we are just making it into the scene

please take a second and "LIKE" us on facebook....it would mean the world! (:

  • No fucking way. Metalcore is starting to run together? You don't say.

  • Bands of the same genre are gonna sound similar. Just cause one small part sounds similar doesn't mean they ripped them off. Both bands are awesome and The Plot in You's new album is fucking amazing. The new FTFD song on the other hand......not so much.

  • @APregnantTeenager The Plot in You even admits that the ripped them off. I'm not saying its a huge deal I just don't respect bands who can just steal other riffs. I've played guitar in a few local bands and all the other local bands just steal their favorite bands riffs and it doesn't fly with me. I do agree on new FTFD blows. But I still don't like the plot in you, EVERYTHING is just a generic breakdown that sounds like every other rise band.

  • @thiscityisdry did you even read the post landon wrote? He did as a joke anyways for fun,he didn't even say that he did actually rip it off,he said he thinks he did and he doesn't know but if he did he doesn't care cuz that song he even said was terrible anyways

  • They put a note on their facebook saying that they probably did copy it.

  • who gives a fuck the plot in you is disgustingly good. and its a nasty ass riff so who cares if its the same pattern

  • @TheTEAMtoeDRAG You're an idiot. The Plot in You is disgustingly bad. FTFD is good as fuck.

  • Mr. Pibb tastes a lot like Dr. Pepper too..

but you don't see me posting a youtube video about it.lol

  • Hardcore bands all sound the same.

People need to get over that fact.

  • @spongefan191 Neither of these bands are hardcore.

  • @thiscityisdry Their genre's are both labeled as a hardcore band, and they sound just like general hardcore music. So yeah, they are.

Look at their facebooks if you dont believe that fact.

And ther pretty fucking brutal bands, so, your kinda out of both definitions of hardcore my friend.

  • Rofl i agree with Nopityforacoward true musicians dont critisize, yes it sounds the same but i know for a fact half the shit that has been written is stuff that sounds familiar from other bands its almost impossible to write something completely different and un familiar. SOOOOOO quit your bitching and just listen to the damn music! :D

  • @stevencassanova I'm not bitching, I'm simply pointing out simple musical inability that all of you none musically inclined people can't seem to notice. If anything you're the one bitching about me to stop bitching. And what is with all these people saying music cannot be original anymore? Take a listen to Misery Signals, how about Periphery? Let me go outside of the box, take a listen to the rap group Odd Future, you're telling me that sounds the same as the new Kanye?

  • @thiscityisdry i was kinda with you until you tried to use Periphery as 'original'. that whole musical style, DJENT, was 'created' by MESHUGGAH. not so original now are they? either way, good is good...thats all :)

  • @avery6sic6 You're completely right BUT periphery doesn't rip off meshuggah (in my opinion). Periphery is much more melodic and does stuff completely out of the ordinary. Meshuggah did invent djent and periphery admits it is one of their biggest influences but I can't name any periphery riffs that sound JUST like meshuggah. It's a good example of being influenced without completely ripping off.

  • anyone with musical knowledge would know that these are pretty different. fuckin ignorant cunts holy shit peole are dumb.

  • @xwarlockx69 Hahaha, let's compare musical knowledge. Because I would love to just shit all over anything you THINK you know.

  • @thiscityisdry naw im not gonna bicker over youtube like a twelve year old

  • what about Bleeding Through and The Devil Wears Prada they don't even sound close to the same so don't shit on rise records

  • /watch?v=O3vaWIPiOSo

  • How about whining like little girls about similar riffs is stupid and both bands are amazing?

  • After Fire and the Wheel nothing is original. GET OVER IT.

  • either or, both songs are amazing.

  • the plot in you is ten times better than for the fallen dreams anyway

  • you guys should relax because this entire genre is completely unoriginal lol.

  • @I3lindFir3 Completely agree for the most part, but people telling me to relax is humorous. I don't cry myself to sleep at night because The Plot in You is not original, I just happened to have 10 minutes of my spare time and made a video about it.

  • I noticed this right away. So sick of this band. In no way original.

  • Who cares. Its hardcore, and last time I checked, hardcore is still all about the crowd movement and the lyrical content.

  • Hahaha. Ok everyone is misunderstanding. I dont think the plot in you STOLE it intentionally. I just think the plot you in you can't write original material to save their life so they just rip off their favorite bands. If you think just because they sound similar doesn't mean they ripped them off, THEN GROW UP. Stop sticking up for your new favorite scenester rise records band, THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME. GET OVER IT.

  • @thiscityisdry said it straight d00d. i dont think they even copied it. just cuz it is the same shape doesnt mean its the same... but yeah. rise record bands all sound the same cuz they all get sent to sturgis...

  • @thiscityisdry You know FTFD is signed to Rise right? lol

  • the plot in you ep came 1st dipshit

  • just because a song sounds like another one doesnt mean they ripped them off.. faggot

  • Does it matter? How many people use similar vocal styles to Mitch Lucker or Phil Bozeman?

  • this is worse than when emmure ripped of the acacia strain!

  • @TheNotoriousTyler What song did they "rip off" of the acacia strain?

  • @MichaelMyers333 listen to smoke em all by the acacia strain then listen to rusted over wet dreams by emmure and tell me thats not the same song

  • @TheNotoriousTyler fuck the acacia strain

  • Wow I had no idea, well I guess it's the other way around then, lol but I must say the drum part from FTFD is much cooler, haha

  • Actually, The Plot in You's EP did come out in 2010, but they haven't always been call The Plot in You, This band has been around for awhile. They used to be Called Vessels. This has been Landon's side project from Before Their Eyes for a LONG time. Their EP as Vessels came out before FTFD. Plus Landon helped them write a lot of this album.

  • @xTylerRulezD00dx actually, Vessels version of this song still came out about 6 months after FTFD's record came out so your information is actually incorrect.

  • @Equivalence4 Who cares? FTFD still sucks.

  • @xTylerRulezD00dx actually, if it wasn't for FTFD this whole genre of bands (like moths to flames, attack attack, the plot in you, from atlantis, etc..) would not have the popularity and songs that they have. you may not like FTFD but they are a very influential band in the modern melodic/metalcore scene. i do agree that their song's are very basic in structure but i liked them before any of these imitator bands came out so i stand by that. no respect for a band falling to the same mold.

  • I completely agree, It's also quite funny how Landon Tewors the plot in you's vocalist recorded for the fallen dreams a few months ago! I like the plot in you's sound but wow, that is just sad that they would write a song based off of parts of a song writin by their own FRIENDS band, haha thanks for posting this

  • alright, this is similar...

but TPIY's follow up part that you cut out at the end,

    was way better than FTFD....

  • sorry, but umm pretty much almost all metalcore sounds the same, that why its NOT cool to have so many fucking sub genre's. THIS VIDEO IS FUCKING STUPID. nuff nuff jigglypuff.

  • who cares? really?

If either band hasn't posted a law suit against the other then it's all good.

Bands share riffs and breakdowns from time to time. Some of them steal lyric lines and almost everything else.

Don't blame the bands, because sometimes it's also the work of the producer.

everything that Jason Suecoff put out in 05/06 sounded almost identical.

  • the music is dope, dont complain

  • It was probably all in their subconsciouses when writing the tune. i dont think they purposefully wanted to rip them off, sounds super similar though

  • hahahahahahhahahah every new age melodic hardcore band sounds like slipknot if you pay close attention XD

  • @trivium88 slipknot is garbage, die.

  • @IXSiLeNc3rXI Your life is garbage. Go sit and die.

  • @psychosocialmaggot23 maggot rhymes with faggot.

but more to my point, you basically played mad-libs with my comment. unoriginal, just like slipknot. they are terrible.

  • Comment removed

  • listen to alot of hardcore and you'll hear this so much... geez

  • You know Landon (The Plot In You) produced For The Fallen Dreams right? Like Landon has a little studio in his garage where he produced them. (ftfd) There friends...

  • There is only so many riffs, drum pattens, picking, tapping, and all the rest. So music, at some point will sound close, or the same. It's not ripping anyone off, since again, as said. You can only produce so much, which... I'd say that 99% has been done already. This video, is stupid.

  • @Nopityforacoward08 this is a very invalid statement. look at bands such as Periphery, Animals as Leaders, Volumes, Elitist, Our Last Night, Oh, Sleeper, and Born of Osiris, etc... those bands all have very distinct sounds and write riffs that sound like no other band out there. they are making happen with true talent and always over achieve, think outside the box, and write riffs outside the constraints of their genre. conversely, i guarantee you that if FTFD never existed neither would TPIY

  • @Equivalence4 Not at all. I know ALOT of bands that sound like Elitist. 'D-JENT' is the new sound, so again, no, they do not sound like something unique in my eyes, still great, but not unique. Same with all of the bands you listed, each one has other bands that follow the same style. If you honestly believe that a band is 'Unique' you lose. The only way, a band can be 'unique is with a singer, who has unique range and pitch to their voice and even then, most sound close to other singers.

  • @Nopityforacoward08 You can only make so much, and do so much. As said 99% of it has been done, a band may be fresh, new or revised. But they are still playing pattens that someone else has used, riffs, taps, kicks... You name it, someone else has done it before. Just becuase a band may have a unique sound, in a genre, doesn't mean that it has not been used before, by a band of a different style. Think about it.

  • @Nopityforacoward08 elitist is trying to play metalcore that is somewhat easy on the ears but incorporate a technical aspect. they are not DJENT at all, find me another and like them and i'll take a listen. but they incorporate odd time signatures in to unique sound riffs, like in the song 'odeon' and tend to include eyrie sounding chords not only as undertones, but also as part of their riffs and i haven't found another band who uses that same approach. the singer is least important

  • @Nopityforacoward08 and you can't say that for Periphery. are they of the DJENT genre? yes. but listen to all their songs. all of them sound different and take on a different musical approach, and their DJENTyness doesn't define their music. they are the only band that writes effectively in multiple keys, and has odd timing riffs, groovy riffs, riffs that constantly change sigs, and have a singer to match the awkward key changes.

  • @Nopityforacoward08 you play me a song by Like Moths to Flames or TPIY and i could show you an ACTUAL RIFF that sounds similar. there is a big difference between similar sounds and ripping of riffs. however, you do me a favor and listen to the song Buttersnips, All New Materials, and Icarus Lives! by Periphery and you show me 1 other band that has similar riffage and song struture. i'd be very surprised if you find one. don't make excuses so that bands like TPIY can settle for mediocrity.

  • @Equivalence4 So you are still saying that, Periphery are the only bands to sound like that, in the world? They are the only one to have those time signatures, the only ones to use that style. You need to stop being so ignorant. Also, a singer/vocalist plays a huge part in a band. They give the band their sound, so for that you again show your ignorance. I know bands that have lost their singer and replace them, and while their music sounds the same, the vocals change everything.

  • @Nopityforacoward08 you just called me ignorant haha i never said they are the only band that sounds like that, many bands use odd time signatures, some bands use several key changes, and practically no bands have similar riffage. according to you that bands that use palm mutes all sound the same, and all bands that use odd signatures must sound the same too right? i'm saying that Periphery is a band that goes above and beyond to not sound like the other bands out there.

  • @Nopityforacoward08 the music is what defines a band. a singer can either complement parts and make it better or it can attract more focus and take away from the music underneath it. however, the music is what truly defines a band. a singers vocal pattern and lyrics have no effect on the signatures, keys, and structure of a song.

  • @Equivalence4 Well stick -core at the end of the genre and YOUR rules of "what truly defines a band" doesn't exist anymore. Overdramatic gook. I'm pretty sure every person in a band would disagree would that statement that seemed to have been pulled out of your ass. EVERY MEMBER plays a vital and equal part in the way a band sounds, especially in this genre.

And the fuck? "what truly defines a band". Gimme a break you silly goose.

  • @Nopityforacoward08 and find me another band that sounds like Periphery? the closest thing to them, is probably Corelia and Protest the Hero who STILL sounds COMPLETELY different. all 3 of those bands i respect for doing something different sounding and not LITERALLY ripping off other bands. but if i applied your concepts, then ever since the palm mute and pinch harmonic were invented, every writer that uses one is doing the SAME thing. wrong, it's all about HOW your incorporate it in a song.

  • @Equivalence4 A singer and vocalist could be make or break for a band. My point is a lot of bands make the same sound, i never at one point meant it, like every song written has another song by a different band that sounds exactly the same did i. My point is that there are parts in a song, in which other bands do and sound the same. You look at any genre, every band is playing to that style. Metalcore is metalcore, Deathcore is deathcore, Hardcore is hardcore. The formula is right there.

  • @Nopityforacoward08 I can name PLENTY of bands who sound original without ripping anyone off. Are you saying its impossible to write something that doesn't sound close to anyone else? There is infinitely many things you can do in music and when all the Rise Records bands want to setup every 2 stepping part the same it defeats the purpose of originality. Not only is the riff the same, the vocal pattern is almost the same, and the so is the drums. 99% has been done already? Ha, no.

  • @thiscityisdry Then you are a total idiot. If you honestly believe there is an 'Infinite' amount of riffs, or drum pattens in the world. Your argument is invalid becuase of that.

  • @Nopityforacoward08 HA. I'm the idiot. Basically if you want me to break it down for you, if you want to create a riff, you can alter that riff by 1 note, and theres a different riff. You can then alter it by 2 notes, and thats a different riff, you could add a timing change or tempo change, you could make the riff twice as a long and change it, add a key change. So yes, there is INFINITELY many things you can do on a guitar. You could make a riff 24x as longas a typical riff and its still new.

  • @thiscityisdry Count how many bands are out there, in the world, past, present and future.

Like i said, you have no idea. End of.

  • this is an easy solve alright stick with me on this and its TRUE!! Josh the guitarist from TPIY was in The Sound Of Glory a local band from toledo and they stole ALOT!! of riffs and stuff to get there music. and now Josh is TPIY. Catch my drift??

  • im pretty sure if this were an issue then both bands would have already handled it,

but if you would then which would you prefer, them going into the Attack Attack, Asking Alexandria, Scarlett O'Hara or stay as themselves right now, i mean who gives a fuck about if somebody copyrights other bands style of music, i mean come on there are over ??? types of music styles, guitar parts, drumming, bass and vocals, that how the fuck are you going to be able to write stuff use other but change the tune

  • @thedeptstar very good points. they sound similar but there not if you change the chords or something. its like BK and McDonalds. they both have a double for a 1$ but there different cause they use different buns and McDonalds uses meat from Saudi Arabia!! lol

  • @makethemXearnit1 im not a big fan of FTFD, im not even a fan of them, im just a Rise Records's fan, i follow and listen to the bands the sign, well the ones whom are not in the deathcore type of bands. TPIY is good enough, and all that. sorry but im tired and right now am going to sleep.

  • Doesnt Matter, Both Bands Kickass!!

  • its all a coincidence, sometimes riffs repeat. especially in metal, its hard to create original stuff. all of you who think anybody ripped anybody else off are idiots.

  • it makes me laugh how everyone is arguing about who ripped off who and making a big fuss. yet, FTFD recorded their new song with Landon Tewers of The Plot in You. SO apparently FTFD doesnt think thats the case. which probably means that they will record the new full length with them next year considering Sturgis is all booked. which also means Landon with do guest vocals of some kind on the album. so SHUT THE FUCK UP.

  • @philster08 dude i recorded with landon hes tight as fuck!

  • I love both bands BUT FTFD ripped off Parkway Drive. I think it was the first song off of Relentless.

  • @sxerobby what parkway song?

  • @Equivalence4 everything you said was 100% true, nice to see someone else out there actually knows what they're talking about

  • I agree with JerAmour and pibb dude lol, it happens all the time. Sometimes bands dont even kno it.

  • besides, The Plot in You is a good band and Landon's my boi!

  • hahahahahaha it's exactly the same. Whatever, these things happen in metal from time to time

  • @equivalence4 You say they sound the same because theyre on the same record label. TPIY had their sound before they got signed so you just sound stupid.

  • @giffordc19

i agree that they sound nothing alike. otherwise why do you think Landon quit BTE mainly to continue TPYI?

  • @giffordc19 FTFD was the first band on this entire label or modern label to carry-out this particular style. any attempt you make at making me sound dumb will end up being a fail so don't waste your words. you are ignorant. no fucking shit they had they're sound before being signed, you can't get signed before making music retard. and they got the influence from their sound FROM ftfd, that is a fact.

  • @Equivalence4 Wow retard and ignorant all in the same comment. Big words for a big man who apparently knows everything about anything and knows it more than ANYONE else. I'll end this by saying youre right, everyone else is wrong, praise you. What would we do without you. Goodbye, go ahead and talk shit back to me and think youre cool for doing so. It will be funnier for me because Im not coming back to argue with a little kid, no matter your actual age, your comments display that of a 10yr old.

  • @giffordc19 didn't know that a 10 year old could articulate and back up valid points with musical inclination. okay bye now, sw33t lyf3 br0

  • The Plot In You is still better, I don't see the problem.

  • except TPIY is better soooo ;)

  • @philster08 FTFD made this style of music more mainstream within the hardcore/metal community therefor they are and will always be superior to TPIY. however, personally i have less respect for TPIY for not putting out an original sound and reverting to using auto-tuned singing choruses to up their 'catchy' factor. i like originality, not recycled parts. but thats just my taste, so dont hate ya'll

  • @Equivalence4 Are you serious? how can you say that they have autotuned catchy choruses. They have ONE song with singing. the rest is all screaming. you should have no respect for anyone if thats the case. all bands got inspiration from somewhere. and to say TPIY ripped off FTFD is ridiculous. im sure it wasnt intentional. because they know people will knit pick the songs like you did.

if your excuse is they sound too much like another band then you probably dont like music at all.

  • @philster08 i never said that they intentionally ripped them off, but i'm saying that the fact that they sound similar is NO coincidence. and me hate music? don't kid yourself. your just butt hurt because i'm raggin on a band that you enjoy. lemme give you an example, attack attack for instance.. i don't mind their music at all. but here's the thing, all they did was try and recreate the ftfd sound and add in singing with some synth here and there, so i can't listen to it. its not appealing

  • @Equivalence4 Could not have said it any better myself. Finally someone who actually has any knowledge whatsoever about music. You can go ahead and say these songs dont sound similar but that's probably just because you aren't musically inclined. The fact that I know so many local bands and mainstream bands who are influenced by one band or another that they write songs that literally sounds just like their favorite band because they can't write anything original.

  • @Equivalence4 This band CLEARLY wants to sound just like for the fallen dreams just like ATTACK ATTACK clearly wants to sound just like them. Just like every other band now a days. Take a look 5 years ago, TDWP, A Skylit Drive, Blessthefall, Drop Dead Gorgeous, all bands who took the approach to music with catchy vocals, very basic guitars, synth, and so on. What's in now a days is dropped down tuning and sounding as heavy as you can. No talent at all in doing so.

  • @Equivalence4 dude. i could give care less if your ragging on them. that doesnt mean i wont like them any less or that i feel the need to defend them. I still love FTFD. I still love TPIY. attack attack...eh. but thats besides the point. theres dozens of signed bands that all sound the same and to pick one out of them to like sounds a little ridiculous to me.

  • @philster08 if one band 1) forms after another and 2) gets signed to the same label and 3) sounds similar.. i have reason to believe that they are 1) influenced by the first band and 2) will have a tendency to write similar parts. if there was never FTFD then i guarantee that TPIY would sound COMPLETELY different and not have any of their songs the way that they are.. until you can grace me with your musical knowledge and inclination i'm keeping my beliefs on a pedestal.

  • @Equivalence4 Thats like me fucking saying i dont like FTFD because theyre not original because they sound like MCMB. got over yourself.

  • @philster08 ftfd like mcmb? know what your fucking talking about before you try to argue with someone that knows more about music than you. mcmb is a cross between just straight metalcore and 2-step. ftfd is MELODIC metalcore and even though they incorporate 2-stepping parts the structure of their songs is COMPLETELY different. ftfd took more of a misery signals influence with their melodies

  • wow i never noticed that

  • Theres so many bands.

Its bound that someone will do the same thing every now and again

  • dry and boring you say? with as many bands coming out with a hardcore undertone like both of these bands i would probably listen to more of their stuff before jumping the gun and calling them gay...their EP is better than most bands first albums...and if you listen to FTFD ep they totally changed from then until now...granted they are one of my favorite bands, but TPIY definately knows what they are going for...

  • TPYI is better on any given day. FTFD is for scenie weenies

  • @uzername91PUNx not at all...

  • @pimplet07 your opinion

  • @uzername91PUNx lol alright and yours as well

  • FTFD is dope. But the other band...idk what the fuck that is. Sounds pretty fucking dry and boring to me. They must be gay

  • i seriously doubt they STOLE that, i just think it's just a coincidence. it's just like a breakdown EVERYONE uses them.

  • its never too easy to come up with something different

soo i say who gives a fuck.

  • Preeetyy sure the FTFD song came out waaay after Molester. I remember Landon recording this in June of 2009!

  • sound like attack attack?

  • sound like attack attack?

  • No. the plot in you is amazing

  • I noticed this too haha, funny thing is is the screamer form TPIY recorded strange faces for them.

  • I think this was already said but the plot in you's EP came out before FTFD album came out so if anything they were the ones who ripped off. not saying they did but TPIY's album came out 2 months before

  • @PibbXtra08 Don't know where everyone is getting this information from. But from what I read Plot in You's first ep was released in January of 2010 and then their re-release was released in July of 2010. For the Fallen Dreams Relentless was released in July of 2009.

  • @thiscityisdry

oh really? my mistake. when you look up FTFD on itunes it says March 2010. I guess that's just when they got on itunes

  • @thiscityisdry

    yes! thats right

  • @thiscityisdry plot in you was originally vessels, that ep.

  • @kcdogoff ya he friggin knows. he probably knew about vessels before you guys even knew what bro-core was. vessels EP came out in early 2010, and they re-released it as TPIY later that year... not to mention, if any of you are honestly THAT butt head over this video that you are blind to understand that TPIY was 100% influenced by FTFD then you need to gain a sense of rationality and increase your musical knowledge. anyone with common sense should pick up on the near identical similarities

  • @thiscityisdry Well you don't really know much about the band. Without defending them, they were never a serious project until Landon left Before Their Eyes. Their old stuff is basically his work and what not. It should also be noted that before they were called TPIY, they were called Vessels. Before that We, As the Water (not going to bring TPOC). A lot of these songs are actually older than the EP release to be fair.

Also, if you want to call it a rip off reference Mychildren Mybride instead

  • @thiscityisdry Also, I really only am aware of this cause there from the area. The inside joke was they'd just break up, change their name play a show or two, do nothing, break up and repeat. I'd wait until a proper release to decide your opinion on the band to be fair

  • @PibbXtra08

Landon would tell you FTFD is a big inspiration of his and he's a huge fan.

But the fact of the matter is, there are tons of bands across sub-genre's of heavy music who have/make parts that sound eerily similar to other parts of other bands. Happens all the time dude, no point in fussing or accusing it of being purposeful. His old band Before Their Eyes was signed to Rise. You don't think that might have influenced their getting signed to Rise? Rather than due to a similar sound??

  • @JerAmour1

hey i'm not the one who made this vid lol. I'm not accusing him of anything. I happen to know Landon somewhat personally and I know he is an amazing songwritting and wouldn't purposefully rip of another song completely. As for the signing to rise thing that could have to do with the fact that Landon has connections with Rise which got them noticed which let Rise find out how good TPIY really is.

  • @JerAmour1

Oh wow...didn't mean to reply to you...

THAT COMMENT WAS DIRECTED AT THIS VIDEO'S MAKER! XD

  • not to mention, if it wasn't for bands like FTFD then THE PLOT IN YOU wouldn't even be a band right now... that is 100% factual. i mean, in that 2-step TPIY probably thought that if they just use a single kick instead of a double kick, like what FTFD did, then no one would notice. and according to the dumbasses who commented below me, they must seem like geniuses. i bet you guys also think that the new Attack Attack CD is br00t4L too, don't you? YOU'VE JUST BEEN BODOMED!

  • okay so for all of you that are on the THE PLOT IN YOU bandwagon, let's break this down so maybe you guys stop getting so butt hurt.. the only significant difference i recognize is not only is FTFD more creative, but they also play in a lower tuning. Besides that, the basic note structure is essentially the same, and the drums come in about mid-build-up in both songs on towards the end of the second measure and have a snare/cymbal or snare/tom hit on the 1st note of the 3rd measure.

  • the only talent these guys have is knowing how to suck up to boring tough guys who don't want to think about their music and just break shit. It's so much less work to listen to 12 songs that sound exactly the same and not have to wonder where the breakdown happens.

  • You're a fucking moron, believe it or not Molester came out before this song. Also, I can think of about 15 other bands with the same two step. You're a dumbass.

  • @takeitslow666 so just because everyone rips each other off it's ok? idk there's just so much more that could be done.

  • @takeitslow666 stop being such a fucking TPIY groupee and take a backseat for once and take a listen without being overly defensive. do they sound similar? yes. and anybody else with music inclination would agree 100% and other bands with similar 2-steps probably also have different drum beats and different vocal patterns. TPIY, aka VESSELS, main influence is FTFD so yes. i'm sorry to break your poor ignorant heart, but this song was completely influenced by FTFD. talentless

  • Whoever put this up is lame. They don't even sound alike. Your just trying to start crap! I hate when people do this. Let's hear you try and write something that's as good as the plot in you.

  • @sundeben0001 you are obviously not musically inclined at all to honestly believe that these do NOT sound similar haha. i don't care if you like this band or not, even i criticize bands i like when they come up with something unoriginal. The Plot in You is talentless along with every other band that was signed to inVogue records. and make something better than the plot in you?? lmao. you should see the stuff that this kid writes, because it'll blow your mind.
