  • this is an incredible arcade port

  • hmm, I wonder what's -in quite many peoples opinion- so special about the

soundtrack ? It sounds like it's just a little slick kiddy soundtrack to me (fits to the game, but nothing special for itself).

btw.: I recorded up to 500 Tunes in total from my org. Amiga 500 (from a good sounding 'board', / not all sound exacly the same after all the years..) manually through the Line-In of a Soundblaster (hard / long work), not yet finished but nearly.., -but this boring tunes I'll not include ;).

  • @cannyfocus maybe keep your negative opinions to yourself...

  • Ice palace was my favourite level, with a music that made you go all out !

  • The boss of level 3 is a scary abomination =(

  • This game was one of the hardest games I've ever played on Amiga. Best music, though a bit short short, was when you died and "continue?" appeared :)

  • This was a great game and alot harder than it looks, the last level was a

pain in the ass to get the jumping right.

But very rewarding in the end,as one stated felt proud yea me to..Oh the memories :)

  • At the end animation it looks like the girl is moonrunning.

  • Yeah on this vid it looks easy but I bet if I pulled out my Amiga out of the closet I bet I would suck soooooo much.

When you think about it... it's not so bad idea. I think i'll give it a try.

    Might break another Joystick ^^

*runs to get his amiga out*

  • I remember playing it as a kid, and this game was realy hardcore, the difficulty was high plus there was no continiues if you died you died, there was no princess to grab your hand and pull your arse out of the hole. No hp bar no nothing just you the whole game and the lives you had...

After maybe a month of total non stop playing and raging I finally finished it... was so proud of myself :)

And I was always listening to the music on the world map and was furious that it always ended this quick

  • That's it, I'm buying AMIGA /o/ memories <3

  • Magic soundtrack!

  • very good game

  • where can I download it for Winuae??

  • Music is great...

  • A beautifully constructed game. And that last boss was awesome.

  • nostalgia...

  • I never died.

  • BURP?! :D Nice boss :p

    Toki ftw!

  • Awesome game despite scaring the living shit out of me as a kid^^

  • @dedicationtoKiKi yes me too.. i wonder why that is.. it was just a kind of scary

  • audio here isn't as good as the arcade... we know the Amiga can manage better than that!

  • excellent video, thanks!

  • i named my cat after this loveable little rogue.long live toki

  • Excellent conversion of this game. The game is more easy than the arcade version, the ausence of the fliying demons is notorious, and the Final Boss is a piece of cake :-0 the music is awesome! well played, friend! I finished the arcade version with only one coin, you can see the video in my chanel. Thumbs up.

  • Wow, you almost made it look easy. :p

I seem to recall this game is actually extremely difficult.

  • ah that was one of my favourite amiga games.

    good old memories :)

  • THE MUSIC TO THIS GAME IS AWESOME

  • Haha, Toki looks more ugly in his human form than in his ape form! Some kind of Frankenstein! ^^ Anyway - good game! A classic ;-)

  • It was my favourite game when I was a kid.

  • Fuck man, I miss these games. I was a fucking Amiga addict!!!!! Its a pitty that there is no way to download these games for XBOX as arcade games, this would be so fucking cool. I heared that Amiga is getting back on its feet. The Studios in Canada have been bought by SEGA now and they are planing a new console or computer, is that true? I would support them rightaway!

  • If I want to punish someone, do not turn into a dangerous chimpanzee throwing fireballs. First and last error of the evil Bastard.

  • One of the best ports I've seen of this game.

  • Much better than the Mega Drive version which changes the level design... :)

  • Wow, this looks like a great port. Nice Amiga :D

  • @malducci

in the 8 to 16bit era, if there was a port of an arcade game to home console, the Amiga version was usually the best.

I loved this game on my A500, but then recently tried playing the Mega Drive version and other versions.... they all suck except for the Amiga one!

  • nice game dude i love 4 level in level sound and past ;) good work

  • one of my prefs versions of this game really great work like amiga computer deserves

  • the music of the frozen stage is the best

  • I remember playing this at the arcades! Great game :)

  • This was a good platformer with funky music. If you look closely in the intro, you can see Miho's nipple... HMMM...

  • Great music!

  • The music on LV2 is stunning, IMO.

  • one of the games that I love-hate. Though I always considered myself a seasoned Amiga gamer, I always found this game impossibly difficult and never reached level 2 =) Then, years after, I've seen Toki gameplay here on YT, and thought "wow, that looks super easy and super fun" and gave it a try under winUAE and of course I sucked just as much as 10 or 15 years ago ;]

  • amiga has the best platform games EVER

  • Smashing conversion of the coin op, although the sound was a bit weak in places...

  • Great conversion. Great pixel art again by Ocean France and excellent chip music. Way better than the Megadrive version, whatever happened there?

  • @SupermansBoots For some reason some Megadrive "conversions" of arcade games were completely altered and the resemblance to the coin-op game was usually only title and theme (see also: Shadow Dancer). Why they did this I have no idea.

  • love the music

  • 4:45, i remeber always bypassing the fish boss, and then shooting him front behind. Ya, one of my favorite games

  • God man u've lost so many lifes with stupid moves ...i've used to play this game with my closed eyes :D)

  • used to love this on the megadrive

  • it was horrible on the megadrive! Amiga was the best version! strange this got released on the nes but nit super nes, i would have loved to seen it on he sns, oh well Amiga version was near arcade perfect!

  • one of my favourite games ;)
