  • Thnx man very helpful I haven't found a video on YouTube like this so I can hang a person I mean to camp can u make a video on how to hide a dead body I mean on more camping advice

  • If that were a noose that would be ilegal

  • criminal mind :)

  • You're a genius.

  • Sutch GENTELMAN, thx for ur time m8.

  • That is a hangman's noose, and any hangman's noose over several loops is illegal to possess in many states.

  • @Garymayo Please check the local laws in your jurisdiction to be sure you don't violate them. I'm skeptical that any state would legislate against a knot, though.

  • @icychap Naw man, it is illegal. In My state, the max is like 7 knots.

  • And number 4! It's good for hanging people.

  • Nice!

  • my biggest request- is there a knot that can make a very long piece of rope like a 300 foot long spool of County comm tether more compact. PLEASE RESPOND IT WILL HELP SO MUCHby the way best video on youtube for wilderness info for this section. Tthanks

  • Excellent lesson! Sure does make extra rope management a cinch.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Larry

  • yo man can you send me a noose coil

  • Thank you for this useful video what I've been looking for....^____^

  • Awesome video!!! I can't wait to get home and try this!!!

  • could you like double coil on top of the other coil

  • be careful, this is a hangman's noose without a running end, its still illegal in places, dependent upon the amount of loops.

  • Cool tried it out with some paracord and it looks great Thanks !!

Those six people that don't like this must be developmentally challenged, how can you seriously not like this.

Some people just I cant figure out. Hopefully Darwin will take care of them hhahaha

    Thanks again icychap!!

  • can u make the loop at the end bigger??

  • @DoraDead101 You certainly can.

  • @icychap nvm i figured it out :) i tie them all the time to freak ppl out nd now every one is scared of me... what else can you use it for besides hanging people?

  • awesome. now if i could only do this to my garden hoses!

  • you talk to much. Just show how to do it!

  • cool

  • can you make a hanger coil even if its a kermantle rope?

  • @emarbiz Yes you can, although with thicker rope there are more efficient ways to coil your rope, especially if you're going to be using it throughout the day for climbing. With a thick rope, the hanger coil may be fairly cumbersome.

  • Thanks for taking the time to show us.

If you have a long rope, and you don't wanna wrap around forever, you can add more loops to your accordian. That'll give you more "hanging loops"; but a shorter and thicker, (but much quicker) coil.

  • Good video. Yes it's the same principal as the hangmans noose.

  • well done..Good presentation

  • Very helpful video, thanks!

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ~!!!!

  • You're very welcome! I hope you enjoy the rest of the series.

  • very simple to understand 5 stars for me!

  • cool

  • how do u ad rope to the end?

i do it but it unties really fast

  • This hanger coil (or noose) i find is valuable as a tree climber, because I can quickly make a weighed end of a rope which I can use to throw over branches and the rope will have enough weight to pull rope over a branch and fall to the ground.

  • Great idea. You could also use a heavy stopper knot or even a monkey fist (though complicated and time consuming) to add weight to the end of your rope.

  • its a noose

  • Basically, yes.

  • @icychap thanks for the video. is it basically the same or exactly the same as a noose? Thanks.

  • @philsaddiction Yes, it is essentially a noose with extra coils.

  • i did this fooling around one day, i found it convenient and easy to hang on turn out gear

  • Cool. I use this one all the time to keep para-cord on my survival knives.

  • its funny to watch someone that dosent subscribe to this basic way of coiling a rope. they usually end up with a wad of rope tangled up hahahahaha. also lay out the end as not to kink the coiling process before the wrapping.

  • same knot to hang people back in the day?

  • In essence, yes, the Hanger Coil is a noose with many more turns around the standing part.
