Thanks for sharing this video, Mel and the longer one too. It made me think of the film "A Beautiful Mind". In the film the character played by Russell Crowe came to not suppress the thoughts but to not accept them either. It affected him less after a long period of him not accepting / not giving energy to the thoughts. Watch out for your thoughts. The mind will fuck us if we give it the power to. I favour the voices being aspects of yourself - hidden chatter as the mind fucks with you.

Hi Mel, do you mind if I ask you a couple of questions about this video? Firstly, are there a regular set of people saying these things? And if there are, do the same people say the same kind of things? So for example, are the words 'who is she talking to' said by the same person each time? Lastly, are there other things being said (perhaps too quietly to make out), or noises being made, as well as the ones you share with us? I hope you don't find these questions intrusive. Christmas can be very hard on mental health. People who know or watched Melinda and Rob can help perhaps by offering a few kind words of encouragement. Perhaps, if able to, send them a little Christmas gift as well to both Melinda and Rob. These people need kindness and support. America deserves better for all citizens than just vast wealth for the few. If possible, watch "A CHRISTMAS CAROL, the Allister Sim version" and ask yourself what you can do to better the lives of both Melinda and Rob.

Delboy, what do you think the voices are? The mind can and will fuck with each of us whether we have schinzenophrenia or a schiizoid affected condition or not.

I personally think that schizophrenic epiisodes like what Mel allowed us to see only goes and shows us all just how the mind works in all of us but it shows us by showing it more. And the vidoes by Refbatch - which Mel directed us to - if they are genuine (and they probably are) again just show us how our minds will fuck with us.

Are they always short phrases or music? None ever drivel on for a paragraph or the like? I think many of us have these random voices that sometimes say catch phrases. I've always got a tune or some phrase going on in my head. It's always my inner head voice though not male or female or anything like that, just that inner voice.

i wish i understood how your illness manifests as these voices - it a strange way for the brain to function. i reckon we all have this type of stuff bouncing around in our subconscious but somehow your illness allows you to hear it directly. do you think there is anything useful to be learned from what these voices are actually saying?
