  • This was alot easyer for me to understand than your empress one, my cat turned out perfect^_^ thanks xx

  • ....

  • I'm noooot that impressed... I really like some of your other movies, but this doesn't really look like cat, if you don't know it - no offence... :)

  • @Ruzzhh There are definitely some origami shapes that look exactly like their creatures, and other shapes that are more "impressionistic painting" style. You can learn the ones which match your personal style!

  • Thanks for the second video, though it would be cool if you learned the 3D one that stands up, instead of laying flat :D

  • love IT ;)

  • its so hard!!!!!

  • my origami cat sucks! :((

  • @MrNortek It all takes practice! It often takes 3 or 4 tries at a given shape before it starts to look right. Get a fresh piece of paper and start again, you'll get the hang of it!

  • thank you!the cat is super cute! And i love kitties!i was always trying to make a cat by myself but then i realised that i am not a pro with origami.

  • Yay! My first ever origami animal! You are awesome!

  • cute cat. i have special designed paper for that itll work perfectly thx :]

  • humm... *looking at results* that was an EPIC FAIL...

  • lisa, the background sound of lovebirds or parekeets are they real, -your pets? I'm so aware that cats you're making may not be friendly to them(birds). lo'l. -ed.

  • great vid but could u use some white and black paper plz??!!:)

  • Black and white paper would be really hard to see, because you would have no way to judge angles! Really, try a few examples yourself. It's easiest to see when one side of the paper is lightly patterned, and the other is also lightly patterned (in a different pattern) :)

  • excuuuuse me, but we don't have the same type of paper you do. What line do I fold it on to make the ear???

  • It's not a matter of folding on "a line" on the paper. Really for the ears it is completely up to you, how you think it looks best :)

  • Thanks for this model. It was easy to follow. A friend of mine will be very happy !

  • not a proper cat but nice effort...need a better one

  • it didn't look like a cat to me,

i had to watch it a million times

    to get it right

    ohh welll,

    thanks for tryingg.

  • origami is all about practice - and remember this isn't a starter shape :) Start with the basic ones and work your way up!

  • Nice vid, I finally made one that doesn't look like a deformed penguin. Thank you. :] XD

  • I see you have a goban. Do you play?

  • your making the enemy of your birds ;D poor birds x)

thanks for these instuctions :) good job :D

  • Poor little birds! They are happy birds and like to warble :)

  • ur going too fast......

  • The thing is the videos can't go slow enough to meet everybody's needs - if they did they would bore 90% of the viewers :) But if you use the pause and rewind, that lets every level of folder use the same instructions. Make sure too if you're new to origami that you start with the more simple shapes! Start with the cup and the dove.

  • -_-

  • How is a cat??

  • Do you mean how is the ending shape a cat shape? The two ears are pointing up, the tail is pointing right, and the cat has both front paws in together in front of her. There are no eyes, just a nose :)

  • kool. too bad the pattern on the paper makes it a little harder to see. itd be a lot better with plain color paper

  • You know, you might think that, but with plain colored paper in a YouTube video you can't see any of the folds or lines at all. They all blend into one solid mass of color. The patterns really give you the best chance of seeing where the paper overlaps. The DVD even more easier to see because it has the highest quality image. I did the best I could with YouTube's restrictions here.

  • oh, thanks. after i watched it like 10 times, i think got it right. lol. thanks.

  • not like cat :(

  • If you mean your result was not cat-like, remember this is a harder shape. Practice with the helmet and crane first. Get those two down before you try this one.

  • thanks for this vid!

  • I'm glad you're finding it helpful! You can make a whole family of cats and kittens by using paper of different sizes.

  • wow yes! great idea :O

  • THAT IS AWESOME!

  • Oh this is soo good! The pleasure of getting this beautiful kitten design right...thanks a lot, I made it and it does look good.

  • I'm so glad the new version is helping!

  • Thank you so much! this is really awesome!

  • didn't you already make a cat/kitten origami folding instruction video?

  • Yup, that one was a bit dark and people asked me to do a better version of it. In fact if you look at my other cat video you'll see there is a comment on it telling people to come try this one if they need a better view :)
