Anna Netrebko in Anna Bolena 2011 Vienna State Opera

I never thought her voice needed to improve, but for those who think it has, does her weight gain have something to do with it? If so, perhaps I can forgive her for allowing herself to become " the fat lady sings ". She has brought many people, young and old, to Opera because of a combination of georgous voice, great stage acting and movie star looks. Let me know what you think about this?

Absolutely great performance. Who has the duet Netrebko/Garanca?

She's excellent in overall. The tone's getting more and more voluptuous and sizeable, the timbre is just as beautiful as ever (i.e exceptionally beautiful) but darker and more appropriate to this role. As for the technical demands, her scales and coloratura sound more accurate and produced with more ease and smoothness, and she did improve her trills (some quite good ones in "Al dolce guidami"). Her breath control has improved tremendously except for two or three spots where she may improve.

@Homoclassicus I have "La Traviata" and "l´Elisir d´amore" with Netrebko and Villazon. I agree that Netrebko´s voice remarkably has changed. The DVDs with the operas I love very much...:)
