  • Hmm, they look very close to me. Maybe they are different series?

  • @infernostr Not at all, they are definetely a knockoff. The chipboard looks different but the build is very similar. In fact it is common for the S107 to be rebranded as other names, for example, this one doesnt say Syma anywhere, its rebranded as a Protocol but is identical save for different markings.

  • @chachipower So is the Protocol just another counterfeit except with a different label stuck on? Aside from the things like texture of the plastic and colors, it didn't seem very different functionally.

Is the same seller still advertising it as a Syma brand or did they learn their lesson now?

  • @wingerrrrrrrrr No, the protocol is a legit Syma, just rebranded to use protocol logo. The protocol has the same R5 chipboard as the Syma. Same high quality. The bootleg has a high quality build too. I may have just gotten a counterfeit dud, but that experience was enough to keep me away. $20 is great though for all the spare parts you get that bolt on to the real one.

  • OMG now china fakes freaking choppers what's next on Ebay lol

  • @MsPcengineer Well there is a lot of counterfeit stuff, but usually not labeled with brand name, this was which is misleading.

  • Man that was lucky to get your money back.

  • =>(few things sucks as much as knowing you spend hard earned money on a counterfeit
