@KoivuTheHab OMG, Archon! Now THERE'S a game! Probably 1 of the best PvP games ever made! (though I wasn't impressed with the sequels or remakes.) A friend & I sometimes play the Nintendo version online together, using Nestopia emulator & Kailler Client server. You could also play the C64 version using CCS64 emulator, but I've never tried it.

If you download the free Nestopia emulator and the Archon ROM, I'd play with with ya sometime. It's really fun & easy to set everything up. Easier then CCS64 emulator, & faster too. C64 had dreadfully long load times. You can speed up load times with VICE emulator, but I don't think you can with CCS64 in 2 player/online mode. Anyway, let me know about playing. :-)
Used to spend literally hours playing this game when I was 5, and quite right, it was really just like playing with action figures inside of a computer. No point, no way to win, just screw it, shoot shit up, hope that you've hit em more than they hit you. And, strangely enough, it actually worked! My dad was known to plonk himself down beside me and spend a few hours locked in battle as well.
My god. It´s a long time ago. When I was a child my english was so bad, I didn´t understand even one word of the discriptions. This game was like a Jeopardy for me. But I liked it. So many different vehicels and charakters, each one with another weapon. In this long past days it was rare that a game had this.
Man, I always loved the Cobra music on this game. I was almost sad to win because Cobra's music was so much better. The music still pops up in my head from time to time now, it's that good! :)
I remember this game occasionally glitching out and the result being the jeep flying through the air. I also remember it being about the funniest thing ever to me at the time.
Oh yeah, that game was famous for taking forever to load. great soundtrack
