Picotto (and his coproducer Andrea Remondini aka CRW) was inspired by Armin's tune, the lead is quite similar! Actually Blue Fear was released in 1997 on Cyber Records under the name 'Armin' (it was his third released track after Push and Check Out Your Mind) and then in 2004 Armin made a re-release with remixes from Agnelli and Nelson, Solid Globe, Scott Mac and a remake by himself this time under his full name. Check Armin van Buuren at discogs.com if you don't believe me kid! ;-)

OK, you are right in that fact CRW is - almost - Mauro Picotto but he composing under this alias with his mate Andrea Remondini. I know only a little about Picotto but a lot about Armin and I'm sure that the first edition of Blue Fear was released in 1997 and as you can hear there are a lot of similarity in the lead synth so... As I have told you before check discogs.com and search Armin - Blue Fear (it was released as Armin not Armin van Buuren but it's the same guy).
