Good lord, it's been so long since I heard this. I was already smiling in my headphones listening to it, and laughed out loud when it said "instrumental" - made my husband look at me funny.
this song i think is the greatest ever done!(beside the Walk of Life with Dire Straits) I mean just listen to the instrumental!!How much better can it be? thanks for posting.
@lewisjamesfegan1994 I agree, I agree. I listened to this about ten thousand times back in 1978 and eventually the double white line does indeed become a euphoric little white line, and we all knew exactly what that meant.
@20KaraokeKing08 Forget the official lyrics. Of course that's what they sent in. Check out the live performance at ht tp://ww w.youtube.com/watch?v=GMy2bmSAIeA&feature=related It is most definitely "little white line". Think about it: "motorway sun coming up with the morning light". Haven't you ever had an accidental all-nighter because of little white lines, you and your radio "trucking on through the night"?? It's a g--d--- cocaine song! Always was and ever shall be! Don't cramp my buzz.
Thanks for posting this, the first TRB album (Power In The Darkness, 1978) is fantastic. I couldn't make up some of the lyrics, so thanks for sharing them! Rather than "instrumental" you could have put "Danny Kustow's solo" there, he was a great guitarist, the whole band was great and I think they should get more recognition in the big scheme of things in regard to the history of R&R. Anyway, you've done a great job, well done!
Power in The Darkness was in my opinion, one of, if not the best album of the seventies. There are those that say it was London calling by The clash. TRB are without doubt more musically accomplished whereas The Clash were a bit more raw. Both albums sum up that end of the decade very well but the sheer power of TRB, eclipses that of the Clash. Mark Ambler on keyboard. Dolphin Taylor on drums. Danny Kustow on guitar. Tom Robinson on bass. Sheer brilliance

Quite good but...
1:22 "IT'S THE SAME OLD motorway sun..."
2:04 "JUST me and my radio..."
2:15 "and it's" is not heard here, but maybe it was on the first refrain, where it's missing
No "little white line" anywhere.
And yeah, there's a typo on InStrumental.
