Hmm, i practice shorin ryu shinjinbukn which has its foundation in 'Ti' unlike any other style of karate so this was interesting. Alot of different styles in one tho, however it is the overall philosophy of never thinking in "point a to point b" that is crucial to martial combat/defence
I am quite cynical of most martial systems that I've seen. Examples being, Aikido (beautiful but unrealistic movements), or schools that practice kata 75% of their training time, and forget that it's unplanned non-telegraphed movements that the brain needs to adapt to. However, in the first ten-seconds of Shihan Tabura's video - I knew without a moment's thought, that this man was "the real deal" as some promoters used to say. Any American Kenpo, or MMA stylist would respect this. /salute
