I think this is the best version, because it just has a more relaxed feel than the Jackson Browne version. It;s a short head, but I love this version to bits,as the whole album. It almost says,we;ll enjoy ourselves, now the Byrds heyday is over.Farther Along was still good, but had a more tired feel to it.Still brilliant.
With all due respect to the other commenters, this is IMO the most beautiful rendition of this fabulous Jackson Browne composition, instrumental and vocal perfection, a highlight from one of the most criminally under rated L.P.'s the sizzling 70's had to offer, damo I loved The Byrds back then, and, still By God do! Long live Jim Roger Mc Guin! And Clarence White Rest In Peace! Thanks realpocobyrds for the upload, and to You Tube for the space and leaving the light on a genuine CLASSIC!
I loved Clarence's rendition of this song. RIP Clarence.

This is an ok version, but I prefer Browne's version from his first album.
