  • @ivanthemodern35 He was an awful man.

  • If Lincoln is still alive he would be 202 years old!!!!

  • @kimbobored9 Why?

  • @SouthernFriedHoney

And once again, had this happened, there would be PROOF.

You know, papers with writing, oral accounts, memoirs, etc.

But is there? Nope, there is just a book written long after the fact. 1 book. No proof of any kind.

  • @TheBoberton There was history --- published AT THE TIME. The Norris statement was published in several NY papers, Lee himself wrote about those to his sons. Got that?

Plus, Reading the Man, by Pryor, explains all that. She based her book on Lee's own papers. GO read the book.

  • @SouthernFriedHoney

And the "proof" that these men are what you are accusing them of is... where?

You are the only person sick enough to come up with these lies.

    A quote from a slave:

"I was raised by one of the greatest men in the world. There was never one born of a woman greater than Gen. Robert E. Lee, according to my judgment. All of his servants were set free ten years before the war, but all remained on the plantation until after the surrender."

    Rev. William Mack Lee

  • You Mr. Obama have absolutly no right to pronounce the name of this great individual that i am sure with all my heart you could not step even on his little finger neither you or any politician that has risen to power in the last 35 years.

  • @SouthernFriedHoney

Do you even know what the Montgomery Constitution is?

  • @SouthernFriedHoney

So they saw men traveling to Kansas. Does that prove anything? No, because the "proof" doesn't exist.

That would be the individual politicians that made the constitution for Kansas.

  • @SouthernFriedHoney

    1. The Confederacy sent no men into Kansas.

    2. If the Sunday school was nonsense, then why is Jackson still honored at that church?

    3. Brown was a criminal and deserved his death.

    4. Once again, the south did not attack anyone.

  • @TheBoberton 98% of the voters in Kansas voted AGAINST slavery. BUt the South sent thugs out there, who had a faked "convention" and claimed Kansas was a slave state, that the people wanted slavery.

Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. The people of Kansas rejected slavery 98% -2%.

But lying and violence was second nature to Southern scum.

  • @SouthernFriedHoney

Um. Please, find some shred of proof that that happened. The south sent "thugs" nowhere. Individuals may have gone, but the south didn't send anyone.

Really? His Sunday school was in support of slavery? Then explain why he is still HONORED at that primarily black church. Jackson was a man of God, he did not pervert God's word.

  • @SouthernFriedHoney

    1. No I do not see torturing slaves as being kind to them. That is why I said not all slave owners were kind to theirs.

    2. 100% Came from slave families? Does that make them slave owners?

I know Jackson was not a slave owner. In fact, he funded a black Sunday school.

    3. And 1 and 1/2 million enlisted in the southern army.

    4. Attacking for 40 years? Oh, you mean John Brown, who murdered people in Kansas.

Or maybe you mean our southern men, who were off fighting for the US.

  • @TheBoberton what Southern men were fighting for you? You mean the 2/3 that deserted by 64?? Twice as many men deserted, even by that point, than stayed.

And desertions grew even WORSE -- until virtually your ENTIRE army, the enlisted and many officers, deserted.

  • @SouthernFriedHoney why are you so mad bro? cause im right? yip im right trust me.

  • @SouthernFriedHoney

And, actually not all of the top 30% mistreated their slaves. only the top 6 or 7% did. But I think I have destroyed your "evil" argument enough for now.

  • @SouthernFriedHoney

    45,000 out of 1,000,000

45 thousand, out of 1 MILLION.

  • @SouthernFriedHoney

Really? Is their DNA evil? There were slave owners (In fact, over 70% of them) who lived at the same level as their slaves and treated them as family. It is the top 30% or so that give the rest a truly bad name. I am not agreeing with slavery, but I am setting the record straight.

    30% of 15%. Hmm.

30% of slave owners mistreated their slaves (Rough estimate)

15% of the south HAD slaves.

Let's say there are 1,000,000 southerners

    That's 150,000

    30% of that:

    45,000 mistreated.

  • @NavyBeer Hey look it is 12flyme, Ronpaulhatesblacks, and many other people. Look at the wording of your post, next time try to hide that it is you by using a different type of speech, like maybe, I don't know, not cursing.

  • @FilmCriticOne Yes, lets get the truth out.No southern man ever captained a slave ship, no southern man ever went to Africa, no southern man ever owned a slave ship. It was all yankees and Brits that brought the slaves over, until the British outlawed slavery, then it was all yankees. After the capture of Richmond, only one person was aloud to be escorted by a slave. It was Grant's wife. I am pro-truth, not pro-politically correct, as you are. You are pro-lies.

  • @PowerPlantEngineer I have noticed that people who are against the south are reduced to cursing when they meet a southerner. It just shows your immaturity. And you forgot the fact that, when the war came, 88% of our population fought while wearing a gray uniform. A million and a half Confederates enlisted throughout the duration of the war. 65000 of them were black. Many more were of other minorities.

  • great speech.. notice how Bush is like "why are you filming me camera? i know my role in this act... we are a government and at least I'm listening.."

  • @ivanthemodern35

I know that if Abe Lincoln came back to life, he could take care of this nation's problems. He put the needs of others before himself. He won the biggest war in the last millenium. He had a good head on his shoulders.

He was genuine, a bit rustic like Clint Eastwood, and coreageous.

If the oil spill happened under Abe Lincoln, trust me--he'd take care of it.

  • sniff he was a great man

  • But why was Lincoln a republican. I dont get that.

  • @VanillaSnow23 The only similarity shared by the Republican Party of then and that of now is the name. Same with the Democratic Party.

  • That was in 2009 ? The presidency sure made him age fast.

  • @ArmadilloPhil How so? If it's because you think Lincoln is a greater president than Obama well not many men can top Lincoln. Lincoln's actions ended up ending slavery and eventually we had greater integration of minorities into our government and society. Obama is proof that we did "live out our creed" as MLK said since he like many minorities and even women are now serving in high office and becoming a greater part of our society and political system. That's just how it works.

  • i love barack obama

  • the man who represents those who killed abraham lincoln pay's tribute to lincoln...

  • @Antwnhs92 What?

  • @kaprow i mean that Obama works for the offsprings of those who killed Abraham Lincoln back then.

  • What year is this? 2005? 2006?

  • his speech was well written... but when you think about it. It was absolutely about nothing at all..

  • If there was a President sent by God -- it was Lincoln.

Without Lincoln standing up to the violence of slave spreading lunatic -- our country would be far different today.

  • @FilmCriticOne

Lincoln's body has been exhumed and embalmed many times. People feared grave robbers stole his body so each time they opened to check, they'd embalm him.

The last exhumation of Lincoln was not too long ago. And his body looked well prserved. The Beard, skin, and face still attached.

His body was under clay for many years in an abandoned coal mine to guard him. He almost looks alive.

  • @FilmCriticOne We weren't trying to spread slavery. We want out of this empire.

  • @FilmCriticOne false the world would be better if blacks were still slaves they are the cause of 80% murders in the US.

  • @FilmCriticOne ..I humbly disagree, slavery was dissipating on its own. To prematurely end slavery and in the process lose 600,000 American lives all to satisfy one's own moral conscience was an unwise conviction. Slavery was virtually non existent in Europe at that time. Although I admire lincoln's courage, his ferocious intelligence, and his brilliant rhetoric. Greatest president only after Kennedy, who possessed the courage to reveal the financial institutions that control this county.

  • @FilmCriticOne Abe Lincoln was a racist and he freed the slaves because it was politically (and strategically) the best move to make.

  • @anthonyusman How do you breathe and see where you're going with your head so far up your ass?

  • @FilmCriticOne jfk was better

  • @FilmCriticOne hell even obama wouldn't be president without Lincoln

  • @FilmCriticOne Why would God send a man to ruin a nation?

  • sorry to disappoint you but he does not make his own speeches, it was just something that the media told you to get the votes

  • People like you need to find a hobby.

  • people like u need to learn how to think for yourself

  • sorry to say but the "media" doesn't write his speeches.

  • Good or Evil. At least he writes his own speeches. Mind you, pretty good ones too.

  • DAM STRAIGHT !!
