  • very good

  • vey good when u get a min have a look at what my dad can do on the harmonica

  • Gut, gut super gut.

  • in diatonic C, the first chord beginning on G is a G7 (flatted 7th). The four chord is C major. The five chord is a D minor (flatted 3rd and 7th)

  • Blues in the key of G. If the harp is in the key of C and you play a scale from D to D (in C) you are playing in Dorian mode of D ---the white keys of the piano--- which sounds nice in standard blues chords progressions. The blues tones are the flat 3rd and flat 7th of D, which would F and C.

  • hi, i am new to the whole harmonica thing...what harmonica should i buy..i wanna play the blues but at the same time i dont want it to be shrill...what is a good brand

    thanks

  • @BlueHazel0101 I'd recommend a Hohner Special 20. It's a great harp that's not too expensive. Go for one in the key of C since this is the key that most instructional material will be aimed at. Good Luck!

  • @pritchharp what abt a honer silverstar? is that good?

  • is this a G harp?

  • @weepingmoon1 If you expand the video details just below the video itself you'll see that it's played on a C harp in the key of G - 2nd position.

  • nice! keep up the good work

  • Nice work,

    Danny

  • thats good man, i added to favorites

  • Great playing man, I loved it! Lots of great ideas in there for me to steal :P

  • That you want to steal my ideas is a great complement, however I'd be lying if I didn't say they were already stolen from other far better players than myself. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • real nice to listen to,great use of the harp up and down, thanks.

  • very very nice, I am a fan

  • Nice!

  • Thanks Ronnie, I appreciate it. And thanks for all the great videos you put out there!

  • nice use of the high notes and octaves...sounds great

  • Thanks for your comments. Checked out your videos and you're no mean player yourself. Keep up the good work!

  • I just dug out my old harmonica that i haven't played in years. Thanks for the inspiration. That rocked, it was full of soul. Easy now!!!

  • So inspiring dude that was awesome. Are there any certain sites or books that helped you learn?

    Great harpin

  • Thanks. Probably the best book I ever bought about the harp was Steve Baker's Harp Handbook. It's not an instructional book - more of a reference but it's well worth owning a copy.

  • thats really good

i got a hohner special 20 in C for my birthday a few days ago

did you just teach yourself to play like that???

  • Yep - On and off over many years. I've recently picked up the harp again after getting inspired by guys like Adam Gussow and Jason Ricci. Good luck with the harp - there's loads of great lessons out there on YouTube!

  • impressive! :)

  • bravo

  • Really nice ! You'r good !

  • Very nice. Good tone and control. Keep up the good work - its paying off!!

  • Thanks. I was making it up as I went along so there are a few things that didn't work but overall not too bad.
