the fact they are strong but slow makes them more accurate to the real train which was designed to be strong not fast. They look amazingly accurate to the show. and all your vids show a very thurough look at all the modles. How did you get the hand rails ? they really do add to the look of them.

Also, 50-ish UK Pounds for only ONE of the Twins is a Rip-off.

It should be at least £20-25 for a Tender Engine/Large Diesel and £10-15 for a Tank Engine/Small Diesel.

@fishpop - There's so much wrong with your statement I wonder if it's worth breaking down. The twins utilize a very heavy, well engineered chassis that has a lot more precious material in it - metal - than previous models. They are supremely well designed, and the quality of the models more than justifies their retail price (which is still lower than many of the models in the Hornby range, for example). I would be more than happy to pay $77 for one or the other.

Oh man... I can just see how Diesel would be in the Hornby vs Bachmann ranges, giving that both of them have some flaws (at least from a first glance for the Bachmann model, mostly on his face, but not too major overall). Just hope he arrives soon in the UK as we have in the US... :P

if I had those two models, I would fix the tender looks and put a pice of black cardbord on top of the coal, and put a round clay pice on it to make it look like it has a water filler cap, as it was seen in the episode, Donald Duck. : )

Just so you know, Donald and Douglas' nameplates were only on their smoke boxes in Season 2. Look closely in Escape or Donald's Duck.
