@kingbullykutta When you click on 'My channel' you will see at the top where it says to 'Edit Channel'. Click that then you will see under Channels Version that you can switch back to the old layout. On March 7th they say all channels will be converted to the new layout.

That's all good and fine until an ignorant person who has no business with or training to handle a k-9 trained dog gains possession of one as a family pet. Then it goes off and attacks the neighbor (me) while the idiot screws around in her car. The dog finally retreated only to return to try to finish me off. Now I live next to the nut neighbor and the nut dog. The dog stalks me every single day, pacing the fence line, bunting the fence and waiting to attack again. Unprovoked attack - nice

Actually police dogs usually are pets when they're home and off duty. It just sounds like your neighbor is like you said, a nut. It's not the dog's fault, it's her fault. @AgramRules I'm glad to tell you, you're wrong. When not working they go home with their handlers and are part of the family even getting along with other dogs in the family. When they retire, most of the handlers opt to keep them as their family dogs.

From the time I was born, Marco was the only dog that I was allowed to be alone with. He was trained to respond to commands in Swedish with exact inflection, and ONLY when commanded. He knew the different between låg and lorg (which meant lay down). He wouldn't move without a perfect say so, much less attack. It's not that they're trained , it's how and how well.
I have had my German Shepherd for 6 years now. I was actually walking him when my neighbor (a cop) asked if Schatzi wanted a job... He is now well known in my city. They take him to school functions (obviously around children). I still take him on walks, to the park, to pet stores and pet supply stores as well as the vet, without a leash.
He is the sweetest most playful dog any person could want. German Shepherds are also known to sense danger and pretty much surrender his life for a humans.

The Belgian Malinois is used for a good reason. They are said to be a more high energy dog, with tons of drive. They are also leaner than the German Shepherd and are very athletic and agile due to their smaller size and higher energy.
I am so sorry for your loss Ava. I hope that the person responsible for Dan's death is caught and held accountable. I can't even imagine how horrible the pain must be to lose a child in that manner. I worry about my kids all the time and they are grown now but still the worry for them never ends. I guess that's the price we pay for being moms. Take care and keep in touch.

Carbondale) I'm going to school to for criminal justice so I can be a k9 patrol officer, when I went to CPD (Illinois) they jest told me to buy a GSD/Malonios/Doberman (which is the breed I choose.)/ Boxer/ Blue Heeler/ Pitbull (most people are surprised to hear that k9 patrol use pits); he jest said I have to provide my own dog that is one of the breeds that I said and be atleast SCH2 certified.
