While Arius was obnoxious, you really got very little time with him in Cutscenes, and his transformations looked pretty cool for the most part. But Dante was completely unlikable in every DMC except for this one for me, and I honestly do not see what made this one 'so bad'. Hell, the first one is unbelievably buggy, and aged terribly. This honestly felt like the best game in the series for me. The third is great, but had a lot of unnecessary, tedious crap in it as well.

The second is the worst by far. Stupid story, few dialogs, demonic tanks and helicopters? wtf, dull settings, silent Dante (the only joke Dante says in the entire game is in this video). Almost all the game was bad. It was so bad that I couldn't help thinking the developers had tried to do a pile of shit and succeded.

@darkiddd You obviously don't get what they did with the story line of this game, yeah the game play wasn't as good as the first or the third but a lot of the demons in this one are way cooler than either of them, anyway back to my point.......... In this game Dante is a lot older and more mature, if you noticed it with yourself or others around you as you have grown up you would understand. He has become to understand that there is more to killing demons than having fun and joking around.......

You obviously don't look more into the story line of the games than the game play, yeah a game might be fun to play but to really understand them you need to look beneath the game play and into the story line more often.

I actually liked Devil May Cry 2. But I'm a very small minority, apparently. What made the game so terrible? It's going to be better then DmC 5 at any rate. I don't care for it at all. Call me extremely biased, but at least the second game remained faithful to the series.
