that bowl looks really hard to skate. was there a beginners area in the park.Also looks like no one wears pads there.

The bowl was very small in comparison with the rest of the bowl obstacles in the park. I was warming up in the small bowl and I wasn't sessioning hard on that. Yeah, pads and helmet are not required in the park.

How was it with security guards? Do they care if you skate at one of the many plazas?

Security is pretty cool at the spots I skated, especially the Love Park plaza area. They may come out and watch you skate but they don't ever confront you or anything. Believe me, skating in Shanghai is more stress-free than say in California where almost every spot you go to is a bust.

it makes me very happy ot see a good video of all the spots in shanghai. i love that place. aint that park just amazing?! im going back there on thursday, getting off the plane thn straight to the park:D watching this video makes me miss the park more lol
