No, what the private companies did was exploit lower class families with promises of "rebuilding a desolate nation" and instead KNOWINGLY put them in harms way. Then why are so many Iraqis leaving the country? Why do Baghdad residents only get 3 hours of electricity a day? The problem with Iraq is that there has been NO political progress made between the different ethnic groups. They were supposed to resolve political issues while we stabilized the country with the surge. But they are as far from a functioning government now as they were when this mess started. A total waste of American lives and money.

It is well understood that you cannot make this kind of money driving a truck in the U.S. You are lucky to make $60K per year in the U.S. That is due to cheap clients of trucking companies.
