Sly, get the full Molten equipment (full Molten armor + Molten pickaxe and Fiery Greatsword) before battling Wall of Flesh.

You're going to suffer if you don't, hardmode is very hard if you don't have that equipment.

Sly, before you try to defeat the wall of flesh, you should try to get some sort of ranged weapon. My weapon of choice is the Minishark. But something like the phoenix plaster will work as well.

@Jacomelo117 - I'm not much of a fan of Windows 8 per se but I am starting to warm up to Windows 7 64 bit. Having good driver support for newer devices AND more than 4 gig of RAM is a Win.

Of course, I had to leave behind a LOT Of my old hardware, but it is what it is.

You could snag a Windows 7 notebook and upgrade to 8 later if you don't want to wait.

Good luck either way though.

The soul eaters can't get all the way down there typically, and the eater of worlds can only come from so many directions. I just get out my harpoon and rapid fire in his face. @Boomhagedis you don't actually need a harpoon, its just the idea of it. You could use a flail like he does here. Or if your sword was fast enough, that. The Grass Chakram would also do some damage, but yes, we all know Sly doesn't have that either.

Sly why dont you just build a small box around yourself so you cant move and hold down the ball of hurt that way its alot faster and you can do it more than once at night you need the box around you so you don't take knock back damage. you talk about the platform being a cheap way to do it, this is much cheaper :P you will regain health for the hearts that they body parts drop.

You do have what you need to beat the eater of worlds, just stand still in a corner, and hold your ball o' hurt out at your feet, and heal when you need to, and the eater of worlds will repeatedly run into it, killing himself! (This actually works!)

full necro/molten armour

weapon: minishark with around 1500 rounds of meteor shots

a ton of obby skin pots

obby shield

cloud in a bottle, rocket boots, band of regen
