I'm just curious if anyone has seen expedition robinson which began in 1997 (and where the format for survivor comes from) and knows how they played the game there? i'm just wondering if Hatch for example had seen some of the episodes and already known how to play the game...?

@TheCardam0m I'm not sure if Hatch ever saw an episode of Expedition Robinson, but I can tell you that the first time a tribe ever figured out that they could stick together in the post merge stage of the game was in Expedition Robinson 1999. It seems like from that point on the idea of a "tribal alliance" became much more popular. Also the balance challenge that appears later is based on a challenge known as "Plank", which to this day is still used in some versions of Robinson.

Wow..I love love love this show! Im a HUGE FAN of survivor. Been watching this show since it started and i was 20 y.o.back then and now im almost 32. its hard for me to watch this in our country Phillipines because we don't have CBS but ive been watching this thru youtube so im still updated. hope this show will continue on forever! Survivor is awesome!

I respect Rudy Boesch out of all sixteen castaways the most; my reason being is because my dad's side of my family has a long history of the Navy and the Marines. I support the military people more than anyone else; especially since Boesch and my great-grandfather fought for the USA in the Vietnam War and WWII.

This was Survivor. The current seasons are way to cushy, The need to bring the "surviving" aspect back. Also, what happened to the individual challenges for immunity and reward!

Seasons 2-23 cannot compete with this season, bear in mind, i extremely enjoyed every season. There were a couple subpar seasons like seasons 14(fiji) and 21(nicaragua) but otherwise, great series.

-he challenges are jokes,totally boring and lacks construction effort

-he camera work is like high school level

-alutely no twist beside the merge if that counts

-boring personalities except maybe rich and gregg

-no major power shift,blindsight or jump ship,just 4 people picking off everyone else

they should bring this option back, collecting things to survive. That way both teams are equal and it forces the team to interact with each other

@24Scotian I disagree with you, especially about putting the teams on an even playing field, that totally takes the element of survival out of the game. These players were lucky to have what they did as far as supplies. And why would they want to interact with the other team? Other seasons they weren't even allowed to speak until they hit the beach and the teams were made.

i actually saw the premier by accident while switching the channels. and this show launched my love for reality tv, and came amazing race, and top model...
