Have this 12" - wasn't until recently that I was able to stop thinking this track was called "The Worlds" as the labels were the wrong way around on the vinyl. When all around you were listening to GTO, D-Shake and *gulp" Guru Josh and calling themselves Ravers, you were listening to this beast along with early UR and thinking that Detroit was the centre of the universe.

Hey statenhal, impeccable taste as usual. 90s Detroit underground sounds as good today as it did then. Hi-Tech Jazz indeed. Thanks, cool post. The label confusion has me in stitches. That sort of thing helped make this music so cool by adding mystique and genuine attitude. That the people making this stuff were sometimes reluctant to be known, preferring anonymity to acclaim, was a big political & cultural statement. There was a lot more freedom in music then I reckon, golden days!
