@Thesurge747 Help shoot the tusks, use pierce shots, rapid fire, just do damage to jhen, try to snipe the mouth, hit teammates with regen, cannon/ballista, just do somthing!

Just like Ceadeus or Amatsumagausuchi, no he cannot, In the first showdown he can be damaged enough to where 1 perfect dragonator will kill him (Jhen has 6000hp [low rank] Dragonator will do 1000 damage, ballista does 122 damage and cannon does 254 damage[damage formula rates apply], ha may be repelled in the 1st stage, but may only be killed in the 2nd, actually if Jhen is repelled in the 1st stage of combat, he will immediately go to the final confrontation

i have 2 questions:

#1: Can Jhen be killed even in the 1st showdown? (When The ship is still moving so as jhen in high speeds)

#2: If Jhen cannot be killed in the 1st showdown is if in the 1st showdown you damaged jhen

in very fatal rates. (like only 5% of his health is left) is it going to skip to the final showdown? or is it something else? please answer THX ^_^

I really need your help social!!! im a lancer and my best friend online , shes a ls user, and we faced Jhen alone, we broke every part, got 2 perfect dragonators, 4 combos each in his mouth, and 2 anti dragon-bombs, and lots of cannon/ballista, and we didnt repell him, do you think gunning him is a good idea, i can make a rathalos guner armor right off the bat, but i need to purchase some ammo,please give your best bet for me

Social not to brag please no offense, but the kitchen skill bombadier effects seige damage, pyro increases bomb damage and combonation rate

putting the anti dragon bombs on tusk can usually break them in one bomb.And if you try to stay on for longer then a minute or 2 when ever starts bucking you off running into the hole made from destroying his weak spots keeps you on

Tip to save loads of time: When you are gathering (not mining or collecting bugs) multiple times at the same spot like collecting the ballista ammo you can crouch first and then it will skip the standing up animation and instead stay crouched after collecting. This works for carving, too, especially Elder Dragons have so many carves that the one minute isn't enough otherwise.

I recommend Speed Gatherer for this quest for these reasons, too. It makes ammo collecting and carving him even faster.

Qw was how works the bowgun:

When you have collected your ballista ammo go to the ballista and make sure your ammo is showing down in the right hand corrner of the screen... then prees the "A" button on the Wii remote to use the ballista.

@PaithanNL I know your answer to Question 1..... I used a switch axe and sat on his nose with mega juice. Just swinging the thing and sharpening and switching to a blade back and forth. And if you have buddies shot cannons and him and the hooks a spears while you have two guys wailing on him. He'll never move. It's kinda cheap but what ev.

@kimeromaru if you want to kill him you would need 4 people with either ice or dragon type weapons. in not then you could go as low as 3 people but they would still need strong weapons or ice or dragon type

hey i was wondering if this would also work against jhen mohran:

Use the bowgun and fire as many pierce lvl 2 and 3 shots as you can when you can actually hit straight through him? Or is there a limit to the amount of hits pierce shots do before they become out of range?

Just imagine a pierce lvl 3 shot when your in the final showdown. it would hit him like 10 times?

Pierce 1=3 hits @ 10 damage per

Pierce 2=4 hits @ 9 damage per hit

Pierce 3=5 hits @ 8 damage per hit

@SocialDissonance i made alot of money mining off his back. i got like 110 pelgicite ores from him. his scales fetch a good price though, i had about 50 scales but i sold half since i get alot from his quest. my friends say hes a mutated frog.. probly cause of his inflateing throat.... i think he looks more like a crocadile though. tbh i love mining off him though, its a good way to make money :)

but always check the sky when you go online, you will see the diference

normal sky=blue

pre-sandstorm sky=brown

also a tip would to spam ballista on his horns as well as use the anti's on it and should only use the cannon when the holes on top are destroyed.

You should binder as soon as he comes out, this is because it will then 'spawn' again on his 2nd thrust into the boat (use the gong for the 1st). This then creates a loop of binder/gong and they will keep on coming back each time he trusts/smashes into the boat.
