I wonder if those idiot middle / working class American voters that have been brain washed by Fox news will finally wake up and understand Fox news and the GOP are not for middle class and Woking class families? Or they will keep getting fucked up the ass with all the abortion and gay marriage bullshit, make that getting their minds fucked and played with by Fox news and the GOP.
It was clearly a shakedown for political purposes. Barton was right and the Republicans were wrong not to support him. The issue was not the actions of BP, but of the thug in the White House extort money for political purposes.
First this clearly rebuts any claim Fox did not show the apology by idiotic left wing groups like Newshounds and Daily Kos. Second, if anything, it shows Fox's reporting of the apology was very anti-BP and pro-government. If anything it amounts more to a left wing bias on this story if any bias at all.
I do see a constitutional problem with forcing BP to have a $20 billion fund. It is a violation of due process. People have to realize BP will pay for the damages in court, but not before.
When you dose a dog with flea medicine, the fleas panic and bite wildly before dying.......And so go the lefttards and socialist progressives as more people wake up to what an evil, destructive and anti-American force the Obama Administration really is. Lieing about FOX, talk radio hosts, etc as well as all the BS Propaganda is just business as usual for the vile trash on the Left!
There are clearly many Republican supporters that would blindly follow their ridiculous beliefs into hell. How anyone can in any way stick up for this stupid "man" is incredible and shameful.
Put away blind prejudice for a second if you can and give a thought for the real victims.
@arubberball Which is open to interpretation and can confuse and result in conflicting views depending on your political standpoint. Maybe the "shakedown" shouldn`t have taken place in the public eye. Maybe BP should have settled in court, like Exxon DIDN`T. Maybe they could have gotten away with less than $20 million for the victims. Maybe Obama should have taken a weaker stance. Whatever the President does is wrong for some.
He should not have retracted his apology. I know how it sounds rhetorically and that doesn't make it politically smart, but the problem is with the people hearing it, not the statement.
"I do not want to live in a country where anytime a woman, who does something that is legitimately wrong, is subject to a Salem witch trial."
Ironically, that's exactly what he's being subjected to.
"You're defending an accused witch - so you must be a witch too!"
@InTheSticks1881 Yeah we should hold the communities and taxpayers accountable! At least Barton is willing to man up and brown nose his campaign contributors transparently.
@Izit87 If we ignore the Law of Land, is there reason to follow any law? The nation is in serious trouble if the executive branch can fire CEO's and penalize a business directly. In Sweden, that renouned socialist state, would not do the same. There is no minimum wage law and it's markets see less government interference. The Sweds are more free market capitalists than we are! Any wrong doing and repairations should be determined by the courts. Suspect this is what Barton believes.
@InTheSticks1881 So BP causes an oil spill to be much worse than it should have been due to negligence and cutting corners yet somehow this is a case of the big bad government acting out?
All this fund that was set up does is help allocate funds from BP to any stakeholders in the region who have been off put by this incident.

PS that wasn’t a question.

@PhilipPorter Does the rule of law mean anything to you? You can't have the president circumventing the judicial system.

@arubberball What laws were broken, and in which court?

@PhilipPorter we have this little thing call "due process".

Good for Barton. Looks like a politician with some integrity left. It is a politcal shakedown. What part of the law with they recognize?

@InTheSticks1881 He had a meeting with BP and BP decided to fund an escrow account to pay off damages. What part of that do you find so appalling?
