When I first started spinning staff I thought baton was lame. All short n' girly n' stuff. Then I actually watched some.... holy f'n sh.... You've got skillz!!!! Thanks for the inspiration!
I absolutely love the speed here. It's a lot different from from the slower, more technical spinning I'm used to and gives the performance some crazy energy. Superb skill.
I would like to say, for the record, that MCP is AMAZING, BRILLIANT and obviously a MASTER at she what she does. I would suggest everyone absorb the abilities and styles we both have to offer while refraining from comparing who is "better". We are very different artists. We are not competing. There are an immeasurable amount of things I can still learn.
I am a beginner in many areas.
PS. eyesfrank - sorry I went nuts on you. My son is terminally ill and I misplace my emotion at times.
I believe we all have our own valuable skills and knowledge to lend to all forms of art. I am curious as to how, from this 2:47 video clip, you determined the extent I have explored my craft?
Having trained my entire life an absurd amount of hours that you could not fathom, sacrificed my childhood, and focused on nothing other than the manipulation of sticks . . . is it possible that I HAVE explored extensively and edited my skills to my liking?
gosh didn't mean to offend, just sticking up for mcp... an opinion is mine to have and i gave it... you are amazing don't get me wrong here beyond anything i could dream of doing but i prefere mcp for what she does, its like saying i like coffee over tea, different styles of a hot drink. The way i worded my previous comment was rude and i do appologise... what i should have said was...
I prefere mcp because of her style and what i believe to be more intresting for ME to watch...
Thank you for the clarification! That is quite considerate of you to take the time to respond to my PMS rant. It is most certainly understandable to have a style preference. I wish you all the best and will continue to explore new styles myself.
OMG! 8) I love it! Incredible! I just saw your knife spinning as well... I wonder how many moves can translate over to other props...specifically nunchaku... I'm always looking for new ways to expand and I think I just found the perfect vid... :)
Wow!!! Thank you Noah for bringing me to this video!!! I cannot wait to see the DVD that you send me :) Annetta I am fascinated and enthralled to what you are going to bring to the fire world!!! THE NEXT LEVEL
YEP! Every trick you see I can do with fire. I am having to learn to LIKE IT, however! I am still a bit hesitant and occasionally run screaming and cursing the burning flesh on my arms and face. But I promise I'm on my way to becoming hard core.
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. Your support is really appreciated and I so admire all of you who spin fire for the love of it!

it is really nice, i could say awesome.
But for me this style is a little bit to hectic. It is different to the "normal" double staff spinning, isolation, contact moves.
speed is not everything. And I don't think that it is good to compare mcp with her. It's just different.

@ongele55 When in the history of the world has "normal" EVER done anything? Double staff included...

I prefer longer staves for spinning contact because every extra inch means the fire is that much further away from searing your flesh.
The batons are awesome, you can do alot more stuff with them and the inside planes, but man, that fire is close!

hell yeah!! It even has my best friends music..!!!!
