@stansbury06 I've hit plenty of people before and instead of celebrating I help them up and give them a pat on the back. Now, that is real sportsmanship. This wasn't intentional. He simply hit him high, happens to all defeseman. Its not that we want to hit the person big, or hurt the person. We are just trying to do as much as we can to intimidate the other team, and prevent them from scoring. And if that means we have to hit them we do. Bray did, but it was just an awkward collision. Nothing intentional.

in todays game this might be a game misconduct. it was too high and too hard for the new rules. this video is one of the reasons why all the new rules came out this year.

The video isn't the best so i really can't possitively tell legal or not, even if you hit a guy from the front if it is at the guy's shoulder level on up it is illegal. I have played and I coach the game and I know what constitutes an illegal body check and most kids playing today have no clue what is legal and illegal

Anyone who says this is clean is an idiot and should go play hockey. If this D man made a legal body check it wouldn't have knocked Bitter out. And he was out. That hit came to the head. Not to the body where a BODY check belongs. Also, can't tell for sure, but it looks like, based on the hand position that it was a cross check as well. I understand as much as the next guy when you are sliding to a dodger you need to stop the dodge, but do it legally.

Lol, that was not dirty at all :P im sorry, yes it could go either way, but it does look like the player shooting the ball, kept running and they were that far apart from each other, and the hitting player wouldnt know if he scored or not, so yes it is a legal hit, but it also depends on how many seconds the hit was after the play too ...
