  • what kind of primer did you use

  • It would be Krylon grey.

  • bttfspencer had good advice. dip the canopy in Future and it's even OK to stick it with Future. Testors also makes a special clear parts glue as do other companies.

  • Nice punchline, Scott! :D

  • It was not a good idea to use extra thing tamiya cement. You should have used testors clear parts glue, before that I would have soaked the clear parts in Future floor wax to give it a more glassy appearence.

  • no offense or anything, thats just the best option/ technique when handling these parts. I didn't want you to mess it up.

  • Future floor wax can be a decent glue for clear parts.

  • EXCELLENT !!! THANKS

  • I use micro mask by microscale for masking. For attaching the canopies,I actually use Elmer's white glue.

  • great job, geat vid!

  • Wow, really great sticker tip!

  • Fantastic modelling! I can't wait to see that awesome model finished.

    Take care

  • Looking good, just need a gloss coat on it, and you are pretty much done.

If you are building another Paint booth, check out the pictures of mine in my Fotki album.....not that you can't figure out how to build one yourself.

It is a bottom draft, uses a 100cfm bathroom fan and a furnace filter. Vented outside with a dryer hose. Works great!
