One major thing I dearly love about SoTN is that unlike the older Castlevania games, you can actually stand there and listen to the absolutely EPIC songs, and not have to worry about a damn timer forcing you to keep going through the level. And SoTN's soundtrack -deserves- being the ability to be able to sit back and listen to it without hearing footstep, jump,s or whip/sword effects, etc.

This game simply was a 5 star masterpiece, and i also loved if you put the cd in after the ps logo came up it had a secret track on it. first you would hear alucard lecture you not to put the cd in a walkman or something then the music hit LOL

You have alot of Michiru Yamane selections. I dare you go try Contra: Hard Corps or Probotector in the European countries. I CANNOT believe it's co-composed or composed by Michiru Yamane as well. It's like the EXACT opposite extreme of this beautiful piece. Please go try it. And since you like Castlevania so much, go listen SIMON1994RD it's a FUNNY BGM spoof of the famous "Vampire Killer". The boss is funny that throws out fish instead of whips.

Ahh I still have this on PS1. Roughly 35+ saves on it and I still play it. I absolutely LOVE the areas in the game with lost painting playing. Lol, I used to just get to the area with this song and let the game roll just to hear this song. I'd like to get a 360 and buy this so that I'll never lose it. Absolutely fantastic game; it's one that I believe EVERYONE needs to play through at least once!

you can just set up an emulator if you want. thats what i did and there are just some minor problems with the ROM, and its nothing gameplay-wise so it should be good. It really is an incredible game

This game was awesome, Its a shame that when the series went to 3D it went downhill. Hopefully the new one will be worthy of the Castlevania name now that Kojima has his hand in it

BTW loved this games soundtrack, one of the best original soundtracks ive heard in a game. But I cant quite remember what section of the game this particular track belongs to.

@Top100GameMusic Really old comment to reply to, and maybe it's been answered, but it HAS been featured in other Castlevania games. It used to be Sinking Old Sanctuary, in Castlevania Bloodlines, CotM, and Legacy of Darkness.

I honestly prefer the CotM version by far.
