I saw the book !!! a religious EO1 destroyed the book. Funny You say 5 , my brother is reporting to nmcb 5 in june, E7 PN a fleeter hahahha, small world
@The657scraper Wow Bro! You actually admit to having "a fleeter" as you brother?? brave soul....now that you mention it...I think I had heard about that EO1 cocksucker getting ahold and destroying that piece of history :-(...Well at least we were some of the last that got to see it and the sweet place that created it!
I was there last in 1986 Hung out at a small side walk type place called the Malagaya Store ( Amtrack Bar) I think it was located directly at the last place you are filming at. The blue little place looks like a small bake shop.
@The657scraper I was an EO2 with "Jive 5" Did you ever get a chance to look through the Alfa Co. "beep book" while you were there? Wonder who finally made off with it?
Club 168 and mariposa. got arrested there back in 1983 for being 17 days awol. back then that was nothing and got a slap on the wrist. Most of the good bars are in Barreo Barreto about 10 minutes jeepney ride from magsaysay.
Magsaysay and Olongapo in general is nothing like when the US military was there. There was electricity in the air when the military was around. Mostly all the clubs and bars that used to be Sailors and Marines second homes are gone. They've either been replace by new businesses or just boarded up. If you ever go back you'd probably be disappointed because of how dead it is. I married there and own a place their. If you want to party like the past Angeles City still hops.
@peety1969 I don't know clubs by name in AC. I've been there about four times and I just bar hop. Since I wasn't stationed there the club names don't stick like Olongapo. But like I said before, there's still plenty of life left in AC. As for Olongapo, it's as dead as a door nail.
@smaier369 ahm,,actually, i dont know where they transfer that bar!, as far as i know. they already closed it....and this video shot was from the jungle evenue staring from 1st.,st,. banicain all the way to 7th st, rotonda at mag saysay proper. going to rizal avenue through jackson high school.going to ulo ng apo staight ahead to olngapo city public market.
this brings back memories...i was Temporary Duty there for 90 days....and also our ship the USS Parsons DDG-33 a task force of USS MIdway would occassionally pull in Subic every 4 months...we were stationed in Yokosaka Japan back in 1977 to 1978...i have never so much fun in one place....
yes bro, we want business , so we have to work for it ...in right direction.. tnx...
