  • Wow I don't know what happened in the second sentence in my previous comment

  • For all you haters out there who are complaining about plastic. Magpul and bushmaster knows what there doingknows what there doing they wouldnt finance and produce there project if they were skeptical about plastic. It's the way of future

  • For a

  • hahah 1500 huh , try 3500 fuckin bushmaster assholes

  • the government cant afford this for every soldier in the army

  • anyone familiar with the AR magazines manufactured by magpul should be very excited by their plastic rifle.

  • its a stronger plastic

  • Plastic is not the new steel! Plastic will never replace steel.

  • Really? Plastic will never replace steel? How many said steel willl never replace iron? Or how many said that iron will never replace bronze? That might be one of the stupidest things I have ever heard.

  • @11b34 There are allot of things that just will not last bieng made of plastic!

  • @11b34 The fact is is that those things were upgraded when compared to the next thing. The fact is is that metal will always be stronger than plastic and metal, whether it be of multiple types such as tungsten or even aluminum will always be used and will never be abolished and taken over by plastic.

  • lmaits worth 1500 but it now cost 3k

  • Bad news guys the MSRP is about double now from $1600 to $3000.

  • @funktroop3r and those plastic parts cost 10x less to manufacture than machined aluminum parts. Those greedy people are probably making $1200 profit off a $1600 gun.

  • @Bowyerma They making 100% profit, off of each rifle.

  • Awesome rifle.

  • the ACR that fires the big 7.62x51 is called massoud.

  • Comment removed

  • i cant wat to see final prices on the rifle and other exchangable parts...i may just hold off o that SPR build if this is affordable.

  • 7.62x39mm to be exact

  • how about a 7.62 x 51 round ? like a m1a1 round ?

  • the scar uses that round. the ACR was designed for AK rounds so you can take enemy ammo and use it (seee future weapons magpul masada)

  • so i can't take M14 round .... i see ...

  • The new ACR does in fact use 7.62x51

  • they have another model for that, this one is just 5.56 or withthe other reciever its 7.63X39.

  • Right. Hence "the new ACR"

  • you mean the massoud? the ACR's big brother

  • Yes, but I see it as less a new rifle and more a continuation of the ACR. Hence the name "Adaptive Combat Rifle."

  • Ah, like the mk 17 aka SCAR H complements the mk16 SCAR L, got it

  • My thoughts exactly.

  • No the Masada was the original design. The ACR is the Masada's final version.

  • I know this, What are you saying no too? The ACR is the Bushmaster and Remington owned version of the weapon system first titled the Masada for which magpul makes the polymer components. The Massoud is a 7.62x51mm and derived rounds from that one, chambered battle rifle/DMR, The Massoud is too the ACR/Masada rifle what the mk17 SCAR H is too the mk16 SCAR L made and owned by FNH

  • Magpul is developing the Massoud, a 7.62x51 battle rifle, that will take a new 20 round 7.62x51mm PMAG as well as SR25/M110 profile mags. it uses the trigger group, handguards, and stocks of the ACR/Masada rifle so it has modularity similar to that of the SCAR.

  • Yes you can use 7.62 calibers on a certain reciever

  • theras a reciever that lets you take AK47 mags!?

  • Did he said you can turn it into a marksmanship rifle?/support-sniper rifle?

  • yep. because it has the ability to fire larger rounds and change to longer stocks you can convert it in to a longer distance semi-sniper rifle.

  • Added to Wish list

  • Why would no one need this? The idea is that you can switch calibers and barrel lengths without owning 4 or 6 different rifles. Makes more sense than anything else I've heard, but then again you probably think that limiting the type of gun a civilian can own is not an infringement on your rights, maybe you should look at history to determine the need for weapons and the result of giving up rights.

  • Cool looking weapon but I'm holding out for the scar, (assuming they ever release it for civi use) I love FN's.

  • aren´t they already released

  • A couple places are taking pre orders, now that Obama's running things though I bet they'll be banned before anybody can get one.

  • Magpul for president '12

  • fantastic! RRP $1500!

  • $1,500 retail. I'm so getting one of those!

  • Same *drools*.

  • is the mag release ambidextrious (sorry for killing spelling) because if the stock if folded i see a problem

  • I know it was on the older version (the Masada), so it should be on the ACR as well.

  • Also it depends on which stock you choose. They're not all folding stocks.

  • Let me make a correction on the last two comments, tallandme13. I made the two comments before watching the video. I just realized that they are showing the masada(the older version) and not the newer ACR. On the ACR, the "paddle" bolt catch release is not used. Instead, there is a button near the trigger guard that is depressed. It is in fact ambidextrous. It is also quicker and easier to press. Check out the Bushmaster ACR video on "MILSPECMONKEY"'s profile. It shows this feature better.

  • If I'm not mistaken then it's the old one. I have a slow internet connection so it's hard to tell. The ACR has a lot of improvements that have been made to the masada layout. I still haven't entirely watched the whole video so I'm not sure as to just which rifle it is. I would love to get my hands on the ACR though. It's just beautiful in so many ways!

  • lets hope thats a one off color magpul shirt.

    tactical pink? NO!

  • Fuck FN Scar the magpul looks better. I still like the barrett m468 and hk 416 more though

  • FN makes good weapons, like the P90 and Five-SeveN, but it looks like the Bushmaster and Magpul win this round by far in my book.

  • The ACR has the ambi trigger gaurd bolt catch buttom. i think the SCAR has the ole pingpong paddle.

  • Is the gun dirt and water proof? e.g. if it was buried in sand and fired, would it explode? Does it have a cooling system like the hk416?

  • the 416 doesn't have a cooling system, the gas piston replaces the direct impingement system. The gas piston doesn't let any hot gases back into the receiver, which keeps it cool.

  • The ACR also uses a gas piston.

  • its gonna be a heck of a lot cheaper and more accessible than a SCAR. I really want an ACR

  • Seems like it may be slightly lighter than a SCAR, too in similar configurations. Very exciting.

  • looks like a wana be FNSCAR

  • Wonder how the two performs side by side though.

  • Does anybody know if they are making PMAGs for the 7.62x39mm?

  • As far as I know it's just 5.56/.223 right now.

  • There are polymer mags for 7.62x39 ammo. I don't think Magpul makes them, but they are out there.

  • I cant freakin wait! I so am going to get one...

  • Ah I see you know Arock.

  • FU AROCK

  • I was right behind the camera man bellow the tower when this was shot

  • Good work
